After spending an entire day doing nothing but resting and then another day idling in the palace with no particular purpose, Claire finally decided on the fourth morning that she wanted to venture outside, having already had enough resting after long-distance travel from Azure Valley to the Citadel.
Her heart tugged at the thought of her old theater, the place that once echoed with laughter, applause, and the footsteps of comrades she had not seen in over two years. The longing grew stronger the more she thought about it.
"What had become of them? Were they still performing? Were they still dreaming?" She wanted to see with her own eyes, to know how they were after her sudden disappearance from their world.
When Claire voiced her decision, Eleanora's eyes brightened. "Then I'll come with you," she said with an easy smile, smoothing the folds of her gown. "I have nothing pressing today, and we can make it a ladies' outing. A little day for ourselves."
