"You what?" Yoon-ah blurted out softly, too stunned to say anything else.
She stared at Bin-na and Ji-hoon, who were settled in one of the grey chaise lounges in the sitting room across from her.
Bin-na smiled coyly, her hand drifting up to her mouth to cover it in a gesture of playful modesty. Her other hand was securely wrapped around Ji-hoon's arm.
"Yes, Mother. We've agreed to get married by the end of this month."
Yoon-ah tried to speak, but no words came out of her mouth. She glanced at her son, Ji-hoon, whose face was as stoic as it was dark. She knew him too well.
She could tell that something was wrong. Something was definitely wrong. Ji-hoon and Bin-na had been friends for a very long time, and he never treated her otherwise.
Not even when his father had pushed him severally to get married to her to expand their business opportunity. So, this sudden marriage announcement…where had it come from?
