Fujiwara Reya made her sit in his lap, tilting her chin with his fingers, as if admiring a startled little animal.
"The food's not finished yet," he said.
"I'll accompany the young master, but please don't touch me indiscriminately..." The Imperial Concubine held chopsticks in one hand to pick up sushi for him, while the other hand supported it, feeding it to his lips.
Fujiwara Reya took a bite of the sushi, glancing at the sake cup.
The Imperial Concubine obediently poured another cup of sake and offered it to him.
"I'll drink half." Fujiwara Reya took a sip, then pushed the cup back to her lips, "You drink the rest."
The cold feel of the ceramic cup was quite comforting, and the Imperial Concubine gently kissed the edge of the cup. After a slight struggle, she stretched out her tongue, licking the remaining half-cup of sake clean, like a little dog drinking water.
