"Hmm." Qiao Xi responded softly.
"Can you understand?" Yuan Zhengxin asked again.
"I don't quite get it just by reading the paper, but after Qiao Yu explained it, I kind of got it." Qiao Xi answered.
Yuan Zhengxin nodded with satisfaction. Mathematics is like that, being able to understand already puts you ahead of ninety percent of ordinary people.
It's been this way since middle school, though it wasn't as obvious then. By high school, math scores tend to show a trend of polarization.
And it's quite simple to find out whether a high school student with decent math scores actually has mathematical talent. Just ask them if studying math is tiring.
If a student has to tirelessly grind problems to get high scores in high school, they probably don't have much talent, and it's best to stay away from mathematics when choosing a major.
After all, this is a subject where effort alone isn't much use once you reach a certain level.
