Lucian, hearing the news Natty had just relayed, only raised an eyebrow slightly, puzzled. He showed no particularly strong reaction — after all, he'd faced the same thing a few months ago, and back then Duke Witte hadn't shown him the slightest attention at all. Still, thinking it over more carefully, this could be considered fairly surprising. That man certainly wasn't the type to return to the mansion without a reason.
Tilting his head down slightly, fingers resting against his chin, Lucian lifted the corner of his mouth a little, brow furrowing, before finally responding to what Natty had said. "That's quite surprising."
Lowering the hand that had been resting against his chin, Lucian clenched his fist at his side. Lifting his head again and looking at Natty, who stood before him looking anxious, he let out a quiet sigh before continuing.
