The soft clinking of coins against wood was faintly audible amidst the inn's noise. Afterward, he rose from his chair and walked towards the door with calm steps. Before opening the door, he realized that the group was still outside the inn.
Lucian changed his mind, pressing his ear closer to the door, hoping to overhear additional information from them.
