Daniel lay in the bathtub, and the icy water was helping a little to cool him down.
But the wound was soaked, and he could feel it might have opened again. His body burned with heat.
It felt like a fire was spreading his entire body.
His head throbbed, and soon, a fever started to kick in.
The dryness in his throat was driving him crazy.
After Philip called, he tossed the phone to the floor and slipped into the tub, hoping the cold water would help him calm down.
Just as he finally felt a bit calm, he heard the door open.
Before he could move, Chantelle appeared, holding a pillow in her arms.
Her eyes looked distant like she was... sleepwalking.
"Chantie!"
Daniel suddenly realized that Chantelle was sleepwalking.
Before he could stop her, she stepped right into the bathtub, still holding the pillow.
Daniel instantly froze.
He always thought Chantelle only sleepwalked inside her room.
He never expected her to end up here.
