At night, flashing red and blue lights from police cars snaked down the winding path to Lin Hai's place.
Behind the police cars were several inconspicuous military vehicles camouflaged in mottled paint.
About a dozen young, strong soldiers in neat uniforms got off the military vehicles.
"Hello, Chief."
The leading soldier saluted Lin Hai.
Lin Hai nodded. These were people he had temporarily borrowed from Old Mr. Tao just now.
A policeman nodded slightly to Lin Hai before walking directly over to Qin Yingdang.
"Who are you people? Which precinct are you from?"
Feeling the serious atmosphere on the scene, Qin Yingdang realized things seemed a bit off and quickly asked.
"Mr. Qin, you are suspected of being involved in an international valuable jewelry theft case. Please cooperate with us for the investigation," the policeman said officially.
"What?" Qin Yingdang's eyes widened.
An international valuable jewelry theft case? That's life-threatening trouble being pinned on him.
