Despite being unaware of what had happened to him, the faint remnants of his will kept Shu in his current posture, ensuring he did not make a sound.
In his mind, those black eyes grew clearer and more defined, as if they were real eyes. There was an unlimited allure from the darkness within the black eyes that continuously tempted Shu to abandon resistance and fall into the abyss.
The roaring echoed, akin to the cries of countless beasts, emanating from the black eyes. The soul-stirring sound shook Shu's mental state. If not for the slight metallic taste in his mouth reminding him that everything before him was but an illusion, he might have been led into the darkness by those sounds.
