At Finn and Sage's home, Davina was taking a break from studying magic to play games with Finn when Sage suggested they go out.
He paused the game, avoiding a hit that was likely to be the start of another massive combo that would have probably killed his character's last remaining life, "Sure, let's do that."
"Hey! You only want to leave because I'm kicking your ass!" said Davina passionately, reaching for his controller to unpause it.
"I don't know what you're talking about," said Finn, keeping the controller away from her. "I would never do such a thing," he said, putting on an air of sophistication, turning it off, and walking away.
"Hey! Get back here and finish what you started!" shouted Davina indignantly.
"Come on Davina, you can always play later," persuaded Sage.
"Fine, but this isn't over!" said Davina, sticking out her tongue, which he promptly ignored by smacking his ass at her on his way up the stairs.
Sage giggled at their antics as they readied themselves.
On the drive, her phone rang.
"Troy," Sage greeted him coldly over the phone, still upset that he introduced them to video games.
Troy grimaced under her icy tone, "Sage. The human faction was wiped out in an explosion today. Klaus is using the chance to place his people in charge and take over the city, taking out anyone who can't be compelled and replacing them, effectively wiping out all opposition inside, including our own."
"Hmm, that's annoying but irrelevant now," said Sage, seeing how Finn's ultimate goal was to kill him, thus wiping out his entire line.
"I'm told Klaus and Elijah are leading the hybrids towards the witches now, likely to wipe them out," Troy reported.
"What about Kol?" Finn asked loud enough so he could be heard.
"Kol isn't among them; he was last seen inside their house," said Troy.
"Should we turn back?" asked Sage.
Finn frowned. "No, we've been driving a while now. Besides, I don't think we'll make it back in time to take advantage of it anyway. It's just my luck that an opportunity presents itself, and I can't do anything about it."
"Keep an eye on Kol, and let us know if anything else happens," ordered Sage, about to hang up when Troy said, "Wait, there's more."
"The slayer was spotted at the French Quarter Coven's place, fighting Marcel's men earlier; she could still be there, we don't know," said Troy.
"The slayer! Then you better find out! Use all available resources if you have to! Find her!" said Sage gravely, hanging up.
"What was that about?" asked Finn, glancing at her, keeping his hands on the wheel.
"Yeah, what's the slayer?" inquired an intrigued Davina.
Sage cast a worried glance in his direction, contemplating the extent of information she should disclose to him. She feared that he might confront the slayer, Klaus, and Elijah if necessary, as he would be reluctant to allow his kills to be usurped, thereby endangering his own life.
Sighing, Sage revealed everything she knew about the slayer, knowing how angry he would be if it were kept from him.
"That sounds awesome! So, she's some bad ass warrior chick hunting down vampires. That's so cool," said Davina in admiration.
"And you think she could kill my brothers?" asked Finn seriously, contemplating turning around.
"With the assistance of the witches... certainty. I was informed that previously she acted independently, but if she is allied with the witches, the situation could become dire for your brothers," Sage replied candidly.
"I see," said Finn, continuing his drive forward.
"You're not going back?" asked Sage cautiously.
"What would be the point if it's going to be over before I get there?" said Finn, gripping the wheel tighter until it broke, nearly leading to disaster if it wasn't for his supernatural reflexes bringing the broken wheel back under control before anything could happen.
"Finn!" Sage exclaimed in worry.
"Whoa, watch it meathead!" shouted Davina in fright.
Finn quickly apologized, "Sorry about that. We'll get a new car on the way back."
After a period of driving in silence, he glanced at the rear view mirror and announced, "We have a tail. Been following us for an hour now."
Looking back, they saw a motorcyclist behind them.
"What do you want to do?" asked Sage.
"Oh, I know," said Davina excitedly, pointing her hand towards the tail. The ground then erupted in front of the motorist, causing the person to crash.
"There," said Davina heartily, dusting her hands off as if it were a job well done.
Arriving at their destination, Sage gave him an exasperated look, "Really?"
"An arcade?" asked Davina, unsure how she felt about it.
"What?" asked Finn smugly. "This is your chance to prove you can 'Kick my ass'," he said using air quotes.
"Bring it!" said Davina, putting on her serious face.
"Oh, I'll kick your ass alright, but it won't be in video games," Sage growled, less than amused. Swearing she would kill Troy for this later.
"Eh, give it a chance, when's the last time you've come to a place like this?" asked Finn, stepping out of the car.
"I would never come to a place like this," said Sage vehemently, exiting the vehicle.
"I don't know, could be fun," said Davina, as eager as Finn to try new things.
"That's the spirit, come on Davina, she can stay here, I don't think this is a place for old ladies anyway," said Finn, taking her hand.
"Oh, you did not just say that! Get back here Finn!" Sage yelled, chasing after the giggling pair.
Time passed as Davina and Finn checked out everything they had to offer, with Sage joining in here and there to keep them happy, and having fun as well, though she'd never admit it.
The first thing they tried was the fighting games, with Davina coming out on top of their competition, as he refused to figure out the special moves and learn how to combo, opting instead to try to dodge and strike.
Ignoring her childish antics of rubbing it in his face, arguing that real fights were nothing like that, he eventually goaded her into playing air hockey with him, where he put his superior vampiric constitution on full display.
After accusing him of cheating, to his stupid grinning face, having forgotten what he was, Sage offered to help. It turned into a fast-paced blur as the puck and the sides of the table began to crack under the strength of their hits.
Seizing her chance to help, Davina used magic to stick his mallet to the table, allowing a goal to slip by, thus beginning a double-teaming effort against him to victory. Toxicily celebrating again, much to his chagrin.
Later, while shooting hoops for tickets, Davina grew frustrated after missing several shots and, in a fit of anger, magically popped the ball, startling everyone around her.
While Sage compelled the employee who came to investigate, Finn picked up Davina, placing her on his shoulders and handed her the balls, which she happily put through the hoop with little difficulty, faster and faster as he spurred her on, coming just shy of the record.
Collecting her tickets with a great big smile, Davina went to purchase a prize.
"How did you even find this place?" asked Sage, joining Finn for a game of shooting zombies.
"Did a bit of research after discovering video games, and it showed up, so I decided to come check it out, said Finn, aiming down the sights of his arcade gun, blasting zombies.
"Great choice, it's been a lot of fun," said Davina, eating pizza and drinking soda with a new stuffed animal next to her.
"Glad you liked it squirt," he chuckled, blasting another zombie's head.
"Hey! I'm practically an adult, and I'm not the one who wanted to come to an arcade," she pouted at his childish treatment of her.
Seizing her chance, Sage stole a kill from his side of the screen, putting her in the lead on points.
"Hey, that was mine!" said Finn, glancing at her side.
"Was it?" asked Sage unscrupulously, stealing another.
"You're doing that on purpose," Finn accused as the next round of zombies arrived.
Sage smirked, "Am I?"
"Oh, it is so on!" said Finn, aiming for her side.
"You're only now realizing that?" said Sage, blasting away.
"What is this, pick on Finn day?" he asked indignantly.
"Maybe next time you'll learn not to call a lady old," said Davina, cheering her on.
"Tch, whatever, you're not going to win this one!" said Finn, moving his arm faster than the game could even register, unfortunately for him.
At the entrance to the arcade, a disheveled, dirty Rayna Cruz with slightly torn clothes walks in.
