As Tina made useless stone chains and walls to slow down the golems.

Finn glanced down at his shoes, an idea forming in his head as his eyes traveled to the dome-caved wall and up the ceiling above the pyramid.

Where the four obelisks were nearing completion, forming a round void in the center.

Short on time, he opted to test her spell by speeding up the wall, along the ceiling, and jumping for the summit of the pyramid.

Seconds before this, Mary and Florence finished their spell, a bright orange-red spear of pure destruction floating between them.

Taking control, Mary shot it at the nearest obelisk, tearing right through the barrier and destroying it with a devastating burst that encompassed the unlucky witch standing by it, and blasting the female leader off the wall and down the pyramid.

The nearly complete portal shook before imploding, swallowing the entire top, and then exploded outward, blowing the airborne Finn away, for while the blast was magical, it still had enough physical presence to send him flying, crashing into the cave wall with a hard thud.

Mary and Florence, still on the same wavelength, immediately attacked him. Their hands rapidly weaving magic, forcing the rock wall to absorb him.

And to be extra safe, they moved their hands in sync once more as they swung their arms around and pushed, sending another wave of rocks smashing into him, burying his body further, leaving only his head untouched. Another hand push from Mary sent a stone spike piercing his heart, completing the deed as his eyes went dark.

"Holy shit! I can't believe we did it," said Lucia, looking from the pyramid's empty top to Finn's trapped form.

Ana snorted in contempt, looking at Finn, "Idiot was overconfident, didn't think we knew about his immunity to magic, or how to get around it."

"Yes, well, best not to dilly-dally. Go over there and remove whatever it is before he wakes," said Florence, waving her on.

"It'll be my pleasure," said Ana, strutting over.

"You stupid fools! 'cough, cough, cough' Do you have any idea who you've messed with? You're dead! You're all dead! You hear me?! Dead!" shouted the broken female leader, her body twisted oddly.

Mary sneered, raising her hand, she twisted it, magically snapping her neck.

Seeing that done, Ana continued towards Finn.

"Why didn't you keep her alive? We could have drained her of knowledge as easily as the vamp," asked Betty.

"Too risky, they could track her. Which reminds me, we'll have to take our time and erase our presence from here as best we can before we leave," said Mary, closely watching Ana's progress.

"Not so tough now, are ya, ya fucking piece of shit," spat Ana with nothing but disdain for him.

Suddenly, standing this close to him made her feel nervous, her movements slowing as she drew closer. Recalling a hidden necklace, Ana searched for that first, leaning closer to the fucker.

And when her hand was about to touch, Finn's eyes opened, his right arm breaking through the rock, grabbing the back of her neck, and pulling her in. Fangs out, he bit into her as she screamed for her life.

"Ana!" cried Eva, running over to help just as numerous blurred forms struck at the coven from behind.

Lucia and Tina were the first to fall with snapped necks as a group of unknown vampires attacked.

Holly managed to bring forth her fiery whips in time to slice apart one unlucky vamp.

Betty, Florence, and Mary had their attackers pushed away by life-saving talismans they always kept on their persons.

Eva was the next to succumb as she tried desperately to reach her dying sister with watery eyes, as she watched her life drain away. Unfortunately, she'd never make it as Troy appeared behind her and snapped her neck on Sage's orders, sparing her and, more importantly, Finn from having to do it himself, protecting him from carrying that burden on his conscience.

Regaining their bearings, the three old-timers invoked their magic in a desperate attempt to fend off the end, fighting back tooth and nail as more emerged and swarmed around them.

Magical blasts of force and fire sent limbs and bodies flying, only for it all to come to a swift end as Sage slipped in between and snuck up on Mary, shoving her hand through her side and yanking out her heart.

She froze as Sage held it up for her to see with a sneer, "Time to meet the reaper, old hag." Crushing it before her very eyes, which were filled with nothing but regret and hate as she fell face-first, dead.

The other two joined her shortly after, as they were overwhelmed and torn apart.

Holly, surprisingly, was the last one standing as Finn satisfyingly dropped Ana's shriveled corpse and broke his way out, stepping past the leftover filth.

Her magical rage was a sight to behold as rings of fire twirled around her, preventing anyone from getting close.

Wishing to move on from this failure of an alliance, Finn picked up a rock and ended it, throwing just under one of the rings, nailing her below the ribs.

Clutching her side, she stumbled, her rings going out as she lost concentration.

Those she previously hurt pounced at the opportunity, rushing in like a swarm of hungry zombies, biting and clawing at her. Draining her dry, as anguish screams fell on deaf ears, meeting a miserable end.

Sage appeared before him, and he grinned, "Glad that's over."

Troy then came and reported, "We lost a few, but nothing serious."

"See that," said Finn, pointing towards the destroyed pyramid.

"Yes," they answered.

"Know what it is?" asked Finn.

"No," said Troy.

"Should we?" asked Sage.

"So none of this rings a bell?" asked Finn, indicating the area they were standing in.

"I'm sorry sir, it doesn't," said Troy.

"My previous witch allies seemed to believe this was a training outpost for one of the big covens and that this was an attempt at gaining a foothold here. To make a portal for them to join us over here and possibly interfere with the coming war, and I'm inclined to believe them based on what I've seen," Finn explained.

"That's… That's not good," said Troy after a while.

"That's putting it mildly. If one or more of the big covens wants to intervene, I'm not sure what we can do about it," said Sage worriedly.

"Have the witches keep an eye out; otherwise, let's not worry about it for now," said Finn, heading for the exit.

"Troy, you and your men did good. Go through everything, collect anything useful, and then get back to war preparations," ordered Sage before following Finn out.

"Understood," said Troy.

Catching up to Finn, she asked, "Where are you going now?"

Finn smirked, "I think I've left my siblings ruminating long enough; it's about time I took out the next one."

"Well, if you take out Elijah, there won't be much of a war; his line is by far the biggest threat," said Sage, hinting at her preference.

"No, not Elijah, not yet anyway. He's nearly as bad as Klaus with the way he encourages and protects him. I'll save him second to last, though I've debated with myself about leaving him for last as he watches everything he loves die before him… Hmm, I'll think on it some more, but I'm afraid it's time for poor uncontrollable Kol to die. I wonder if he has my golden dagger ready," said Finn thoughtfully.

And though she wanted to argue for taking out Elijah first, she kept silent.

"You should know they're in New Orleans, a place they once called home before Mikael attacked and burned most of it down," said Sage.

Finn sneered, "Then I'll see it all burns again."
