"Damon, what are you doing here?"
Silas asked, taking a step towards Damon with a smile.
But it was strange that Damon was there, because what Lysander said… the four brothers were supposed to be leaving for another pack.
And they were going to come back tomorrow. Then what was Damon doing here?
"You didn't go with your brothers, Damon?"
Damon turned towards Silas. His facial expression was serious. But seeing Silas' smile, that seriousness faded, and his expression became gentle.
"Nope, I didn't go. Just wanted to surprise you. That's why I told Lysander not to tell you. But when I came here, I didn't find you. Where did you go?"
It meant Damon had been waiting for Silas for the last hour.
Since Silas was doing something very dangerous somewhere else, he was nervous—he feared that if Damon found out what he did, Damon might hate him and never talk to him again.
"Actually, I was just strolling around outside the palace. Because you four weren't here, and I was bored."
