Chapter 24 - Chapter 24 : “Conversation Between God’s and Abyss”

As the five elders stood unwavering, their powerful Haki suffocating the air, Kael's dragon wings beat once, sending out a violent gust before he suddenly descended to the ground.

With a slow, deliberate motion, his massive, abyssal form began to shift. His blackened scales melted like shadows, his burning purple eyes dimming as the terrifying Night Abyss Dragon shrank down.

In mere moments, Kael Draymour stood before them, fully human once more.

Dressed in his battle-worn coat, his ashen-gray hair swayed in the wind. His purple eyes, deep with cunning and madness, met the elders' gaze with no fear, no hesitation.

The Five Elders did not move.

They simply watched. Studied him like one would an anomaly, an enigma they had not yet solved.

Kael, in contrast, stood with a smirk, hands casually in his pockets.

Kael : "I have no interest in fighting you... not yet, at least."

His voice was calm, almost mocking, as if he saw the most powerful figures in the world as nothing more than an inconvenience.

Saint Markus Mars gripped his axe tighter, his expression darkening.

Saint Topman Warcury let out a low hum, his gaze unreadable.

Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro's hand hovered over his blade, but he did not draw it.

Saint Shepherd Ju Peter narrowed his eyes.

Saint Jaygarcia Saturn, the one who had spoken first, finally responded.

Saint Saturn : "No interest in fighting?" Saturn's voice was slow, deliberate.

Saint Saturn : "Then why are you here, Kael Draymour?"

Kael chuckled, rolling his neck as if completely unbothered by the overwhelming power in front of him.

Kael : "To watch. To listen. To understand."

His smirk widened, a dangerous glint in his eyes.

Kael : "And to see what kind of gods rule this world."

For the first time, a flicker of something unknown crossed the elders' faces.

Kael was not just another pirate. He was calculating something.

And that made him dangerous.

Kael : "So… let's have a conversation… five elder's"

.

The tension between Kael Draymour and the Five Elders was like a noose tightening around the battlefield. The sky above rumbled, as if the heavens themselves feared what was to come.

Kael stood before them, unbothered, unwavering. The world had long since labeled these men as untouchable gods, yet here he was, facing them without a trace of reverence.

Saint Saturn : "You are far too ambitious for a simple pirate, Kael Draymour, "You should not be here."

Kael let out a low chuckle, his purple eyes gleaming.

Kael : "Neither should you." He tilted his head. "But here we are, playing our roles in this grand story."

Saint Warcury : "You are reckless, boy. Did you truly think you could walk into the gods' domain and leave unscathed?" Saint Topman Warcury narrowed his eyes.

Kael smirked, stepping forward slowly, closing the gap between them. His boots crushed the bloodstained earth beneath him as he spoke, his voice dripping with something far more dangerous than arrogance, certainty.

Kael : "I've already walked through hell." His gaze darkened. "What's a few gods standing in my way?"

Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro exhaled, shaking his head.

Saint Ethanbaron : "Fools like you always think they're different." His fingers hovered over his sword's hilt.

Saint Ethanbaron "You are strong, but strength alone cannot defeat us"

Kael's eyes darkened, the beast inside him stirring.

Kael : "Tell me, so-called gods… How long have you ruled over men like they are insects?" asked Kael

The elders remained silent.

Kael's smirk twisted into something more sinister.

Kael : "Do you think they will never bite back?"

A gust of wind howled, the battle still raging across God Valley behind them. Kael took a step back, arms still relaxed at his sides.

The Five Elders exchanged glances. They understood now, Kael was not like Rocks. He was something else entirely.

Saint Jaygarcia Saturn narrowed his eyes.

Saint Saturn : "You walk a path that leads only to oblivion."

Kael chuckled once more, turning away from them.

Kael : "Oblivion?" He spread his arms wide.

Kael : "I call it liberation."

.

Kael : "Now… lets change the topic….there is another thing that i need to know"

Saint Mars : "... speak"

The Elders regarded him with unreadable expressions.

Kael : "Immortality." Kael's voice was calm, but there was a dangerous edge to it. "Tell me… does it truly exist?" Kael is trying to see how far The Five Elder would speak on this matter.

There was a brief silence. A flicker of something—caution.

Saint Jaygarcia Saturn was the first to respond, his voice measured, yet unwavering.

Saint Saturn : "Why does a man like you seek such knowledge?"

Kael smirked, though there was little humor in it.

Kael : "Why wouldn't I?" His gaze sharpened. "Power fades. Time erodes all things. But immortality…" He tilted his head slightly. "That is true dominance." He Teased

The Elders remained silent, their expressions betraying nothing.

Saint Topman Warcury finally exhaled.

Saint Warcury : "You stand at the precipice of something far beyond your reach, dragon."

Kael chuckled. "And yet, here I am."

His gaze turned cold, calculating.

Kael : "I know you're hiding something. A secret so valuable you'd burn the world to keep it buried."

A dangerous tension settled over the space between them.

Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro's fingers twitched over his sword's hilt.

Saint Ethabaron : "You are treading on dangerous ground, Kael Draymour."

Kael's smirk widened. "Good."

The Five Elders remained silent, but Kael knew.

Their silence was an answer in itself.

.

Kael walked a few steps before pausing again. He tilted his head slightly, just enough to catch the Five Elders' reactions in his peripheral vision. Then, with deliberate slowness, he spoke:

Kael : "Ah… and here I thought the ones who rule from the shadows would be more involved." He teased them more

The air grew heavy. A subtle shift, so minor, yet undeniable.

The air grew heavy. A subtle shift, so minor, yet undeniable.

The Five Elders did not move, yet the tension in their stance was unmistakable. A flicker of something rare crossed their expressions.

A sharp crack echoed through the space as Saint Ethanbaron's sword struck the ground.

For the first time, Saint Markus Mars spoke. His voice was like a blade:

Saint Markus "You do not understand the weight of what you speak."

Kael let out a soft chuckle.

Kael : "Oh, I think I do. But tell me..." He leaned slightly forward, voice dropping into something almost conspiratorial. "Does your master fear someone like me?"

A long silence.

The air felt suffocating. Even in the chaos of war, this moment felt like the eye of the storm. The Five Elder shock's and grew angry

Finally, Saint Saturn's gaze darkened.

Saint Saturn : "You are walking a path that leads only to ruin, Kael Draymour."

Kael smirked, turning away once more.

Kael : "Then I guess I'll see just how far that path goes."

.

As Kael turned his back, ready to take off, a voice, deep and unshaken, cut through the tension like a blade.

"Who… are you really?"

Kael stopped mid-step. His smirk deepened, though his eyes remained unreadable. He slowly turned his head, meeting the gaze of Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro, the elder with the long katana resting against his shoulder.

Kael : "What do you mean?" Kael asked, amusement lacing his voice.

Saint Warcury narrowed his ancient eyes.

Saint Warcury : "No mere pirate should know." His voice was measured, controlled, but there was the faintest edge of suspicion. "Immortality, and… those are not things even the highest celestial dragons dare whisper."

Saint Ju Peter : "So, tell us…" Saint Shepherd Ju Peter stepped forward, his aura cracking against the air. "Who are you really?"

Kael chuckled, folding his arms.

Kael : "Who am I?" His voice was slow, deliberate. "I'm just a man, an agent of chaos, a man who wants to see this world burn. Isn't that what you believe?"

Kael tilted his head, feigning deep thought.

Kael : "Maybe I read a very interesting book."

Silence.

The Elders weren't amused. Their eyes bore into him, demanding an answer.

Kael's smirk faded slightly, his gaze shifting to something darker.
