Aisha shook her head, mouth agape.
"Oh, I see. That actually...makes sense?" She muttered, though her tone was more incredulous than convinced. "I mean, if you're operating so many, uh...apparatuses, you'd lose more than just your modesty."
"Even a couple dozen would drain a normal mage dry. But you're not even breaking a sweat, Cassius. That's actually shocking. Wait—" She paused, peering at him suspiciously. "Since when were you even a mage? You never told us that."
Cassius just shrugged, flashing that maddeningly relaxed smile. "That's because I'm not a mage. This doesn't run on mana. Never did."
Aisha blinked, speechless. Skadi chimed in, her tail flicking with nervous energy.
"Then what is it, Master? Some kind of artifact? Ancient forbidden relic? Did you eat a magical octopus as a child?!"
Cassius actually laughed at that, waving his hand dismissively.
