"Hello! Is anyone home?" The blue haired girl asked. She stands in front of Gohan's home with her braided hair tied into a ponytail. She wears a pink blouse and skirt tied with a belt. She carries herself confidently and with her gloved hand, knocks on the door.
The door opens and she was greeted by Hyeon. His old, stern, wrinkle painted eyes pierce through the girl which intimidated the young lass. With a low grumbly voice he says,
"Hello, young lady. My name is Hyeon. What brings you here?"
Bulma froze upon seeing an old man tower over her, but quickly regained her composure. She reaches to her fanny pack and showed a glowing orange ball that had stars on it.
"I am looking for the Dragon Balls. They look like this. Have you seen one here?" Bulma asks.
Hyeon, without even glancing at the Four Star Dragon Ball at their home replied,
"Yes, we have one of those orbs, but I'm afraid I cannot give it to you. For the man who owns it is not here."
Bulma is irritated upon hearing this and rudely says,
"Can't you just give that to me gramps? I am kind of in a hurry. Look I'll pay you lots of zenny. I can even have you take a peek at my panties."
Without a moments hesitation, Hyeon slams the door. Leaving Bulma stunned. Bulma rants,
"Oh come on! I was only going to borrow it! I'll return the 'Orb' to you after I get my wish!"
Bulma feels a light tap on her back. It was Goku, and he is ready to fight.
"Who are you and why are you harassing my uncle?"
Bulma turns around and its a kid... With a tail. Bulma points at the door and says,
"Your uncle refused to give me the Dragon Ball! I can't believe he slammed the door on me..."
Behind Goku comes Grandpa Gohan. He is carrying groceries and supplies. With a smile he welcomed Bulma and listened to her story. Upon hearing her quest on finding the Dragon Balls, he gives the Four Star Dragon Ball to her. Hyeon asks Gohan why he did it, to which he replied,
"I have no use for the Dragon Ball Master Hyeon. Let the young girl have it."
Hyeon sighs but with a smile. He turns to Bulma and says,
"Perhaps I was a bit too rough young lady. As apology, I'll have my disciple accompany you for your journey."
Bulma tilts her head in confusion and says,
"Disciple?"
Hyeon glances at Goku, who is now helping Grandpa Gohan unload the groceries and supplies.
"No, no. I don't need to babysit a toddler." She said.
Hyeon laughs softly at the comment. He calls on Goku and said,
"Young Lady, this is Goku. He can protect you. As a young lady, roaming the wilds alone is unwise. Additionally, he will be the collateral for the Dragon Ball"
"Hello! My name is Goku! What's your name?" Goku asks with a friendly smile.
"Bulma. You can come along with me, but only because the scary uncle said so." Bulma said reluctantly.
Bulma hops on the bike, turns to Hyeon and Grandpa Gohan and says,
"Thanks for the... Hospitality! Come on Goku, aren't you going to come with me?"
Goku performs a Qigong technique to catch up to Bulma and says,
"I'll follow you!"
Bulma, confused and shocked as to how Goku was literally running in the air and says,
"How are you doing that? That's literally impossible? Hop on, its faster on a bike."
Goku smiles and says,
"No thank you. This is my form of training."
Bulma shrugged and tells Goku that he's a weird kid.
Thus, start the journey of our dear Goku, but with Murim Martial Arts.
The events that followed are similar to the original canon, except for Goku training his Ki Techniques even while resting. Goku also makes sure to regularly circulate his Ki, and to gather materials he needed for his Ki-Pills.
With a power level of 200. He easily catches up to Bulma, despite Bulma trying to dust him off. She adjusted to this 'weird kid'.
What followed is the encounter with Yamucha. He is a powerful Desert Bandit with Puar, the transforming flying cat as a companion. Contrary to the original canon, Goku with a power level of 200 easily one-shotted Yamucha. Here we see the emergence of Goku's arrogance,
"Huh, I thought you'd be stronger... Oh well, a small fish in an even smaller pond." Goku says disappointed at Yamucha's strength.
Dumbfounded, Yamucha could not believe that he didn't even see the boy move. He tried to stalk the duo but Goku already had sharpened senses. He was easily beat up by Goku and was tied up.
"Why is he tied up and what is he doing here?" Bulma asks shocked at the sight of Yamucha hanging above the Capsule House.
"He was stalking us. I don't trust him." Goku says.
In this what if, Goku is not naive. He was taught by Hyeon how evil works and how to sense evil.
"Let's go, the Dragon Ball is nearby." Bulma says while clutching the Dragon Radar.
The duo set off again, leaving Yamucha tied up and with his dignity destroyed.
