Ficool

Chapter 31 - ch-31

Snape, who suffered a critical blow again, just felt that he was really rude. Why did he have to provoke Riddle, a student who did not play by the rules?

It caused him to lose his defenses repeatedly and he couldn't even maintain his emotional stability.

But Snape would not admit his mistake. He was a teacher and Tom was a student. Sooner or later he would find something to hold against Tom.

He waved his wand coldly, and dense characters quickly appeared on the blackboard.

"Here are the ingredients and cooking steps for the scabies potion. Everyone go get the ingredients now, in pairs. If I find anyone wasting my ingredients, I will make you clean the classroom for a week."

Snape gave the order and all the students started moving.

Tom was naturally in a group with Daphne.

Even if he wanted to be in a group with Hermione, he couldn't.

Although it was only a week after the start of the school year, the competitive consciousness between the two houses had gradually taken shape.

The students of the two houses were clearly divided, and mixed combinations would only appear in odd numbers.

It just so happens that there are an even number of students in both colleges this year.

Soon, the temperature in the Potions classroom began to rise, and after a while, wisps of smoke appeared.

The preparation of a simple magic potion is actually no different from cooking rice, except that the processing and quantity of ingredients required are more meticulous.

Snape wandered around the classroom like a quiet bat, without making any sound when he walked. When they couldn't see him, the little wizards felt uneasy, fearing that the professor was standing behind them, staring at them with emotionless eyes.

But gradually everyone realized that Snape was still targeting Potter.

"Potter, if you don't know the word for paragraph you could have asked me instead of chopping the porcupine quills into dregs. One point deducted from Gryffindor!"

"Potter, I think Hogwarts should hire a language professor just for you, to avoid the joke of Mr. Savior not being able to read the professor's notes. Gryffindor will lose one point."

"Potter, I asked you to steam the slugs, did you?"

"Potter!"

"Potter!"

If there were any doubts before, Harry now had only one thought in his mind: Tom was just talking nonsense.

Something about Snape apologizing and the hidden meaning of the flower language.

This guy just wants to embarrass him!

The provoked Snape was obviously more brutal than in the original book. Halfway through the course, Gryffindor had already lost ten points. Hermione wished she could possess Harry's body right away to help him finish the potion.

Fortunately, Snape, who had let off his anger, felt that it was enough, so he let Harry go, said a few sarcastic words to the fat boy Longbottom, making him burst into tears, and then he set his sights on Tom.

He wouldn't deduct points from Riddle, but he could talk a lot. If he could find any fault with Tom, Tom would be greeted with venom from his sharp tongue.

But after watching for a while, Snape's face turned sour again.

What's wrong?

How can you not find fault with it?

Riddle's operating procedures were extremely standardized. Although he pointed out some problems, they were not problems with the people, but problems with the materials.

The quality of the materials and the compatibility between the individual ingredients affect the overall preparation. Therefore, every time the potion is brewed, subtle changes should be made in order to pursue the most perfect state.

But this is definitely not something that first graders, or even students, need to know.

Tom strictly followed the procedures on the blackboard for every step, with the weight accurate to grams and the time accurate to seconds, which made Snape extremely uncomfortable.

It was like a hedgehog in his mouth, and he couldn't bite it no matter how hard he tried.

This was also what Andros was amazed at. He found that apart from his magical talent, Tom's learning talent was the strongest he had ever seen, and he could master anything quickly.

"Riddle, did you split into groups of two so that the other person could watch? You did everything by yourself, what was Greengrass doing? Don't get carried away just because you have a little talent!"

Finally, Snape, who couldn't think of any reason to fire, looked at Daphne who was staring at the crucible in a daze, and his eyes lit up. After scolding, he didn't give Tom any chance to refute, and quickly left.

After suffering verbal abuse twice in a row, Snape realized that if Riddle could be stopped from talking, he should shut up, so that his lungs would not be pierced.

You are worthy of being here, old bat, to be able to find such a strange thing.

Tom sighed and shook his head. He didn't take Snape's words to heart. But Daphne felt bad and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, Tom. If I hadn't been lazy... the professor wouldn't have scolded you."

"It's okay. Professor Snape might be worried that I might be tired so he's concerned about me."

Tom shook his head and smiled as he pushed the dried nettles in front of Daphne. "Just grind the dried nettles into powder and put it in the crucible, and the potion will be ready. You can do this step."

"Uh-huh."

Daphne nodded her little head and began to grind the nettles diligently.

Snape didn't even look at Tom until the end of the get out of class, and left a sixteen-inch long homework before leaving.

When they heard this number, everyone's faces fell, including Tom.

Not only are the courses easy in the first year, but the homework is also easy. The length of the papers assigned by other professors is about six inches, and basically 1,500 words.

Snape's workload almost tripled, and his hands hurt just hearing about the workload of four to five thousand words.

After Snape finished speaking, he ignored the little wizard's resentful look and strode out of the classroom.

"Let's go."

Tom sighed and said to Daphne, while in his mind he was thinking about whether he should get a quill similar to Rita Skeeter's.

Writing a four or five thousand dollar paper on something as simple as scabies medicine was pure idleness. He would never waste his time on such a meaningless thing. Even taking a walk with Daphne would be better than writing a paper.

At least the little witch is pleasing to the eye.

She has a sweet smile and dimples, which makes people feel happy just by looking at her.

What made Tom even more unhappy was that Snape didn't give him any extra points for the entire class. He is a Slytherin, is this right?

Slytherin's lead is now so large that there would be no sense of urgency if he were not given extra points.

How is this allowed?

We must find an opportunity to give Snape some strength and let him know who is the backbone of the academy.
