Chapter 85 - Chapter 84

"What are you doing here?" You ask in a confused tone.

"I can ask you the same thing..." He replies. You sigh and look down.

"I'm here for Baji." You answer.

"Same." He responds. You furrow your eyebrows and look towards the door. "Everyone has been looking for you, where have you been?" He asks as he gets closer to you. You take a deep breath and look towards his direction.

"Tell Baji that I was here... I have to go-" You say quickly turning around.

"Hey? Why are you leaving so suddenly?" He shouts out to you. You continue, completely ignoring him.

When you make it back to your grandparents house. You flop down on the bed, sinking down and burying yourself under the covers. You softly groan in pain as you finally begin to feel the aching pain from being sick.

For the next few days, it has been slow and quiet. You have taken a lot of bathes and been sleeping a lot. You cold is starting to go away. As for your grandfather, he's still in a coma in the hospital. You try and be there for your grandmother, but it hasn't been easy. She has been very quiet and out of it for the past few days. You try your best but there hasn't been much you have been able to do.

Today is New Years Eve... you don't have any plans for the day, and you haven't thought of what you want to do. You sit in front of the table staring down at your plate full of food.

"Yuki... are you going to eat?" Hikari asks. You slowly look up at her with tired eyes.

"I'm sorry... I'm not hungry." You softly say, standing up.

"Yuki- you haven't been eating... Please, I'm worried. You're already so skinny and pale... please eat."

"I'm not hungry." You reply. You turn away and walk back towards the bedroom. You slowly lay down on the bed, nuzzling your face into the pillow. Your eyes slowly begin to close when your phone vibrates. You slowly open your eyes to a call from Baji. Your eyes widen a bit to it. You slowly sit up and grab the phone preparing to answer it.

"He rarely ever calls me..." You mumble to yourself.

"YUKI!" Hikari shouts as she rushes into your room. Her eyes are wide and she's quickly putting on her jacket. "He's awake." She pants. Your eyes widen and you drop your phone down on the bed, quickly pushing yourself up.

You and Hikari quickly make your way through the hospital and towards his room. You both stop at the door. Hikari takes a deep breath and pushes the door open. Your grandma is sitting beside your grandpa in a chair. His eyes are slightly open and he's laying stiffly in the bed. Your eyes begin to water at how lifeless he looks.

After talking to your grandma and grandpa for a bit. It was kinda sad talking to him... especially when he couldn't talk back. You and Hikari slowly make your way out the hospital. In the car on the way back to the house you sit quietly in the backseat as you stare out at the window.

"I'm scared..." Hikari softly says. Your eyes wander towards her, her eyes looking tired in the mirror.

"What do you mean?"

"After your mother died... things got really depressing and gloomy... I sometimes feel like Hanami, your mom was my dads favorite... He loved her so much and spoiled her the most... He really loved your mom..." She takes a deep breath. "I feel like her death took a toll on him... and he is now sick because of it... mom... your grandmother mentioned she has regrets."

"Regrets? What regrets?" You ask.

"I have no idea..." Hikari quietly says. "She never told me... she only said she regrets her decisions."

You stare at her through the mirror as her eyes begin to get really glossy. You look out at the window and sigh.

"Can you drop me off at the bakery?" You ask.

"Huh? Why? Are you sure?" She asks.

"Mhm..." You hum.

After dropping you off at the bakery you watch as she drives away. You stare into the bakery, sighing a bit. You shove your hands into your pocket and slowly walk to the park. You stop at the swing and sigh as you sit down on it. Your eyes close and you sigh as you begin to push yourself a bit.

A lot of time passes and its already dark outside. You have no idea how long you have been out in the cold. You're staring blankly at your shoes. The swing not moving at all. You have an empty feeling in your heart, but also a heavy feeling. You hear steps approach you, but you don't care to move. The footsteps stop before you. You still not moving.

"You haven't been answering my calls." A deep voice says. You don't move. "Come on... I know you hear me." He adds. You don't respond. "Yuki..." You slowly look up at him. A tired look in your eyes. Your eyes stop at his. His bronze eyes stare back at you. He's wearing a hoodie making it hard to see him, but you recognize him quickly. It's Baji.

"How did you know I was here?" You softly ask.

"Chifuyu said this would be the best place to find you..." He calmly says. "Come on... it's cold and the nerves in my legs are starting to hurt."

"You walked here?" You slowly ask. "But... how- you can't-"

"Stop asking questions and lets go..." Baji sighs, pulling you off the swing.

You both sit in the living room in your place. You sit stiffly on the couch.

"Have you eaten?" Baji calmly asks. You don't respond. He furrows his eyebrows and pushes you back, crawling closer to you. "What's up with you? Why aren't you answering?" You stare at him not responding. "Draken said you were looking for me."

"Does he know you can walk?" You ask. He stares at you a bit and then slowly shakes his head.

"No one knows I can walk other then you and Chifuyu."

"So why did you walk out here...?" You question.

"I was worried... no one has heard from you." He sighs. You look away from him and sigh. "What happened? You usually come to my place if something happens..." He continues.

"..."

"Or did you just want to see me?"

"I don't know what I wanted..." You quietly say looking down a bit. "So much is happening and... I'm just so tired."

"..."

"I guess... I felt safe going to you." You softly say as you stare back at him. His eyes soften a bit. He sighs and pushes himself off you. He looks off into the distance. You slowly sit up a bit and look off into the distance too.

"Yuki..." He calmly says. You slowly turn your head to look at him. He stares at you with a tired look.

"Yeah?"

"Do you like Mikey?"

You furrow your eyebrows and narrow your eyes at him. "Why are you asking me this?"

"Because I don't understand these feelings you're giving off..." He says as he stands up.

"Huh?"

"Do you like Mikey?" He asks again.

"Why does that matter?"

"I already said why, so answer my question."

"I don't need to give you an answer..." You groan laying back down.

"... I want an answer."

"Why?"

"Yuki-"

"Why does everyone keep asking if I like him... Why does that matter-" You sigh. Baji stares at you and sighs, clenching his hands.

"So, you do?" He adds. Your face scrunches up and you glare up at him.

"Don't come to me about some bullshit. I'm not in the mood... I already have to deal with so much already... don't add to it." You fume.

"What the hell's the attitude?" Baji huffs.

"What do you want? Why are you bothering me?" You groan.

"Because I care."

"You care? Then why are you prying into my feelings... whether I like him or not is not your fucking business."

"You're right... it's not my business..." He calmly says, nodding a bit. "I'm sorry" He walks towards the door to the stairway.

"Don't fucking do that. Don't make me feel sorry... don't be fucking petty." You grumble, sitting up again.

"I'm not trying to be petty..." He calmly says.

"Then why are you sorry?" You huff. He stares at you before turning away.

"I'm sorry for not- I'm sorry I'm not Mikey... and can never be Mikey." He says, pushing the door open. You scrunch up your eyebrows and quickly jump up. You rush to the door and Baji is already at the bottom of the stairs.

"What the hell does that even mean?!" You shout. He ignores you as he exits the bakery. "BAJI!" You scream. You hear as his motorcycle pulls away from the bakery. You clench your fists and slam the door closed. You stand still in the center of the room. Your eyes relax as you stare down at the couch. You slowly walk towards the couch, flopping down on it. You face the back of the couch and force yourself to fall asleep.

Days turn into a weeks and you're finally back at school. You sit quietly at your desk, staring down at it. Your eyes relax as you stare down at your notes. Your teacher's words in the background becomes nothing but mumbling. You stare down at your desk not moving or blinking. A dead look in your eyes. The bell rings and everyone packs their stuff for the end of the day. You don't move. Everyone slowly makes their way out the room. Soon the room becomes empty and you're the only person left in there. Someone walks into the room and straight towards you. You don't move to look at them.

"You look like you haven't slept in days." The person says. You slowly look towards them to see Mitsuya looking at you. Your eyes begin to water when you see him.
