When I arrived at the engine room of the ship I was saddened to see that it was almost entirely unrecoverable and needed to be scrapped completely and replaced. so I got to work ripping the plasma reactor apart while keeping anything of value I could find inside, when I had completed the disassembly of the engine I was surprised to find that it was quite small for how large the ship was, it only amounted to about a 10m^2 of space for the entire reactor.
I was able to save the unburnt fuel from the core but couldnt recover any of the actual mechanism used in the reactor so I'd have to create my own which would draw suspicion if inspected.
I grabbed a blueprint paper from the otherplace and got to work designing an engine that would work no matter the situation and would hopefully be entirely self contained and not need any maintenance but I didn't expect to pull of the impossible.
After a lengthy process I had decided on creating a Penrose process (black hole bomb) power generator that would use an extremely over redundant system so no matter if the entire ship was ripped apart the generator wouldn't detonate unless I myself told it to after a long arming prosses.
Using a small black hole generator to create a fist sized black hole inside a containment field it would then be surrounded with specially designed mirror like pannals that would reflect 100% of the energy that makes contact with its surface, a beam of energy would be fired into the container and a small portion of the energy would be sacrificed to the black hole while the rest of it would take the rotational energy of the black hole. This prosses would generate more energy that was used to form the original beam effectively becoming a perpetual motion machine as long as the black hole stayed stable which the black hole generator would force.
I looked over the design with a grin before realising that I'd need a power source to start the reaction to begin with so I added a simple fusion generator as a backup/startup power supply.
I stood after going over the designs once more to make sure I had everything properly sketched out and revising my work and calculations properly, I cracked my knuckles and with a grin I got to work.
Timeskip
I spent 4 hours just building the fusion generator itself and another 6 with the black hole generator, I stood back and stretched my arms above me as I looked over the sleek white globe that housed the singularity.
I grabbed the last pannel and placed it over the maintenance hatch and bolted it into place, I grabbed the data slate and connected it to the power supply system and was happy to see that the ship had full power across the board.
I power off the data slate and walk over to the blueprint I had created before pulling out my lighter and burning it so nobody could ever know how to even begin to sabotage my ship.
With that don't I decided the next most important part to repair is going to be the hull and it was completely impossible for me to fix that in any reasonable measure of time so I'd have to do it differently.
I made my way to the hanger of the ship and using the large space I started manufacturing autonomous drones to repair the hull until it was atleast reasonably space worthy.
The drones weren't anything special and wouldnt any level of intellect above that of an animal so I wasn't worried of corruption, while they worked I would focus on repairing the life support systems.
Linebreak
The life support systems weren't anywhere near as damaged as the power systems so I didn't need to do a total overhaul of it but i still made sure to add as many redundancies as possible.
The oxygen scrubbers utilisesed elecrolysis to split water into oxygen and hydrogen, the oxygen would be used with mixed with other trace elements to become breathable air while the hydrogen is sent to the fusion reactor to be used as fuel.
The artificial gravity system was completely totalled and was absolutely unrecoverable so I had no idea how they worked normally so I'd have to make my own a-grav system.
Looking back over all of my memories I remembered the a-grav systems of mass effect that if implemented would also allow me to use mass effect relays if I ever created them.
At the lowest level of the ship and even further down inside the hull I created a mass effect base plate that would simulate gravity for the entire ship using mass effect fields generated when a current is passed through the element 110 or eezo. This also allows the entire ship to shift its own mass as It wills allowing it to be a hell of a lot faster than it should be at its size and weight.
The entire prossess of fixing the life support took about 3 weeks and I'd had to survive on the MREs I could find in the ships supply stock, in that time the drones had almost finished fixing the hull enough for us to take off and that is how I found myself in the bridge again with my data slate connected to the command throne as the machine spirit continued to insult me for accessing restricted parts of the ship.
Eventually I just got annoyed and using the data slate I bypassed the machine spirit and gave myself the equivalent of an inquisitor's clearance level just to shut the spirit up.
I leaned back on the throne as I thought about what I'd do after I've left this planet and which faction I am most likely to get along with.
Straight out was the Dark Eldar, Chaos, the Orks and the Tyranids. Unlikely was the Necrons, the Eldar and the tau while I was a bit reluctant to even think of joining the imperium of man and only then if Guilliman was back.
I don't think for a moment I have gone unnoticed by the factions mainly because I had a crystallized bead of time embedded into my prosthetic and that would get any faction with some level of cronal awareness attention.
I was almost surprised that a collection of custodes hadn't appeared because of my likeliness to be able to heal the Emperor and just in case such a thing happened I had already figured out how it would go about doing so but that was for later.
For now I focused on accessing the ships files to see what had happened to it and why it was crash landed on this planet beyond the information it had already given me.
