"See you tomorrow!" Eye shouted, waving Emma off.
Emma entered one of the many blue colored buildings, while Eye went somewhere on his own.
As Emma entered the bar, she was assaulted by the fragrant booze smell.
And she hated it! Emma always wondered why people on earth, or even here would even willingly drink something so odd smelling.
Right now Emma was heading towards Tildoor, Eye had told her to met him in the building next. He was supposed to help her finally become literate in whatever language she was speaking to people. Emma didn't even know its name.
Apparently Tildoor was only a hair away from becoming a Wanderer. Already reaching the third level. While Eye had only been on the 2nd level, and he apparently was getting close to the third.
Emma entered the shabby nest living room where a fellow with white hair, snow white skin, and yellow/blue eyes sat on the couch. Wearing a yellow tunic, and holding a thin dusty book.
"It's you again!" Both of them exclaimed at the same time.
"Sorry about bumping into you before," Emma remembered her first interaction with this fellow, she had accidentally broken something that was on him.
"It's fine, that stuff usually happens to me anyways. So you're the new recruit I'm supposed to teach?" Tildoor responded with a friendly smile.
"That's me, when are we starting?" Emma replied, she had a smile of her own.
She was so happy right now! Learning from a teacher that hated her would be hard for her.
First they started out with learning the alphabet, it had 27 letters. And to Emma they looked like a bunch of squiggly lines.
In just a few hours Emma had already memorized half of them! This wasn't because Emma was smart, it was simply too easy to memorize! Actually Emma considered herself dumb for not learning it faster. After all, she already knew how to speak it.
"Why do you want to learn? What's your dream" Tilldoor suddenly asked while both of them were on the large couch, while Emma had just finished memorizing another letter.
What was her dream? Wasn't it to explore, right? No, that was before she had killed Luna, right now all she cared about was
"To say sorry to someone." Emma responded, looking towards Tildoor with firm eyes.
Tildoor let out a light laugh, as if he had found that to be funny.
"What?" Emma asked while her hands were crossed.
"It's nothing, I just think that maybe that's too small to be a dream. But since you told yours, it's only fair if I tell my own. I want to be one of the heroes of the Hunters guild someday!" TIlldor said in a calm tone.
"Hunters guild? What's that." Emma blurted out.
"The Hunters guild. You know the heroes of the seas, the brotherhood who brings justice to the pirate scum! Only someone from an alien planet wouldn't know about them." Tilldoor suddenly said in an excited manner.
"That would be accurate then wouldn't it." Emma thought to herself.
" I don't really know about them… matter of fact, I don't really know about most countries here either." Emma said in an embarrassed tone.
She had to hide the fact she wasn't from here! To feed her Gift! It was probably the best way for her to do so.
"That's that. I cannot allow such a fast learner not know about them, geography is on your list to learn now." Tildoor had calmed down a bit, he looked embarrassed about his sudden uprising.
"We'll then since noon is soon, we might as well talk a bit about some countries. At least the unimportant parts. Like myths, and legends."Tilldoor said, closing the book he had in his hands.
"Myths! Those still exist here?!" Emma accidentally blurted. She couldn't believe it! Such a world with
"Well yeah they always will, myths are just unconfirmed parts of history." Tildoor said while raising an eyebrow.
"SInce you learned so much today, I might as well tell you about the ones I find interesting."
"Are you aware of the library of 1,000 secrets? The ancient library of the era of Greats?" Tildoor folded his legs to be criss crossed on the couch, he was waiting for Emma's answer.
And all Emma could think of was, "What's that?" or "That sounds super duper cool." because it was.
"I'm not aware actually, What's the era of the Greats?" Emma asked.
"Alright History is added to. Your parents really didn't teach you much didn't they." Tildoor said in a concerned tone. It hurt him to his core that her parents neglected her learning so much, unfortunately this thing happened a lot in this country, even in other countries too, but not as much as here.
The ruler is simply too cruel. Not allowing kids from these parts to have basic education, by not providing schools and such.
Emma could feel her Gift being fed,"I didn't even lie though?" Emma uttered in her mind.
Deception was confusing. But at the moment it was proving to be useful to Emma. So the more she deceived, the better for her, she had to get hrt no matter what!
"Alright since Night is coming in an hour or two I'll let you go, by tomorrow you should be done with the easy stuff, after a few weeks we will be actually writing!" Tildoor said, leaving first towards the stairs.
Emma followed till she reached her own room, where the green lady was sleeping.
The room looked dusty, and dark.
Except for a light coming from the left of her.
It showed a green haired lady, who sat there in silence, drawing on almost finished work on a canvas.
She had continued to paint when Emma had walked in. The artwork itself had looked beautiful to Emma, it was an empty grey grassed filled, except for a single women sitting on the only green patches. Laying there in peace.
" Oh your… here, is… night coming.. already?" Isabella suddenly turned to face Emma.
"Yeah." Emma said in awe. She had still been focused on the piece of art in front of her.
It looked outer worldly!
Isabella began packing her stuff, pushing them inside a bag and setting it aside to a corner.
In just a few minutes they had both fallen asleep.
They had to avoid the Night, Emma was envious she couldn't stay up longer to become stronger.
Then morning came.
"Wakey sleepers!" A loud voice said out in the hall, waking up Emma.
Right today was a new day, she had more time to learn, and to become stronger!
What would becoming stronger look like? Emma started to day dream of it.
