Chapter 6 - Ch.06

Ch.06

Just an hour after the last resistance members made it to HQ, Shego, who was in the command center, saw the last of the families board a train to the earth's crust and the bunker that'll house them indefinitely should their plan fail on the monitor. The rest, the soldiers that would put up a fight, were spread out around the resistance HQ and began the vigil for the Great Blue's troops.

Shego spent the following hours in the room provided to her, testing the limits of her body. Ever since regaining her ability to walk she's felt energized for some reason and thought it was related to how Ron healed her but couldn't be certain. Her plasma abilities did provide her with a similarly energetic feeling but Shego was certain that she had more energy than she knew what to do with.

The REAL concerning part was that Shego's energy kept increasing. 'What did you do to me Ron?!' She thought.

With those thoughts Shego kept active until someone knocked on her door. She opened the door to see Wade, behind him, a robot holding a monitor showing video footage of explosions and realized that Ron made it to Drakken's lair.

"There's a bigger screen in the command center if you want to join us?" Wade asked.

"Sure." Shego agreed after thinking it over.

As she followed Wade, Shego's eyes were glued to the screen as she searched for Ron's image. It was only after the Lowardian's war machines finished attacking each other that she spotted him destroying the surroundings of the entrance for Drakken's lair.

~~~
Ron felt as if everything around him was slowing to a standstill. His mind was focused on his opponents movements, Yori's position, attack patterns from everyone around him and Ron started to wonder if he should speed things up a bit. 'Wait, I am speeding up!' Ron suddenly realized. It was surreal to have that thought enter his mind, as Ron was coated in a layer of MMP. Then Ron decided that it was about time he pushed himself and the MMP to the limits.
"Yori, hide outside, I'm going to try something that might collapse everything on stop of us." Ron instructed telepathically and adjusted his stance accordingly.
~~~

Yori understood the command and although she felt reluctant to let Ron fight alone, her body simply couldn't keep up with what this fight required of her. Biting her lip in frustration, Yori was about to acknowledge Ron's command, when Ron seemed to be in multiple places at the same time. To Yori it was like watching sword katas being illustrated on her sight. She could not see all of Ron's movements but certain motions were leaving afterimages.

It was a frightening display but to Yori it was like seeing Ron reach for the stars, approach them step by step and finally realize that she was left behind. The realization was like a knife to her heart as Yori felt an acute pain at the thought.

~~~
Ron thought he finally understood. Where it all led to, the single moment where he achieved all he ever wanted. And promptly got so much of it what should have been an instance was transcending and prolonging indefinitely. It was intoxicating.
Ron attacked the increasing precision and speed. After he had assumed his stance, Ron grabbed the Lotus Blade as a katana and sent a horizontal slash to the opponents ahead of him, barely registering the resistance of the blade as it passed through the bodies. Spinning with the blade, Ron then angled forward slightly before stepping forward into a upward swing, cleaving a man in two and cutting into an apparatus that had popped out of the ceiling. Another step into a downward swing, low stance to avoid a laser and bringing his blade into the path to redirect the beam ahead of him. Ron continued going through what amounted to a training session of his katas as he cut his way deeper into the compound.
What Ron didn't notice, was that the range of his strikes was increasing beyond the reach of his weapon. Though at first they were no longer than centimeters, Ron's attacks soon reached an inch then two. It was as Ron was unleashing chaos and fear in his opponents. He started using air steps to add both mobility and lethality to his swordsmanship and when his sword cut through his latest opponent also cutting through the arm of the one that stood a foot behind that Ron noticed the phenomenon.
Soon, all Ron saw was the shortest, straightest and most efficient line to cut through the man, machine and synthodrone standing before him. To a swordsman, Ron's display was the pinnacle of swordsmanship. But the opponents were so unevenly matched that it was like watching a top sprinter race a baby during his first steps. And yet Ron kept his fighting style fluid as if formless, constantly evolving and finding more efficient ways to fight. Ron flowed through a series of slashes. Diagonal slashes that looked like multiple people had attcked with added elbow, knee and foot strikes that were crushing anything they hit.
Ron knew that this day was one he'll remember for the rest of his life. The fighting felt as though Ron met a master and was undergoing the training to surpass them. 'Even before when I used the MMP could only have been like stepping into a kiddie pool and now it's like I'm the source of a gigantic star!' Ron thought, vaguely aware that he couldn't keep up with the MMP's growth.
Soon, Ron had a couple of meters in a radius around him where everything, wether flesh, machine, synthodrone and lasers couldn't penetrate. All the cameras and opponents caught in their sight was vague afterimages that sped like lightning through the compound. No one could even see Ron's image like when he first entered the lair.
Ron went from floor to floor, thoroughly searching for the P.D.V.I, Drakken and Warmonga as he cut to pieces anything that moved or fired at him.
~~~

As Shego watched what could only be called a slaughter take place, she felt a shiver go through her body.

"... he's a monester!" Someone in the command center whispered.

Hearing them, Shego felt as if the comment was something that was directed at her, growling back. "Coward!"

Shego remembers others that whispered the same thing in the past even when she was a hero, as if she were a dangerous beast that was about to go into a frenzy. 'A hideous monstrosity!' That was a comment that was written on to her desk in middle school. All her life she's been the one people fear.

'And now, I won't be alone anymore!' Shego thought with mixed feelings about Ron's dilemma.

~~~
Drakken watched the live feed of his lair in trembling fear.
"Was the buffoon always capable of doing this?" Drakken asked himself, wondering if the one he watched Warmonga slay just before Kim Possible and Shego had these abilities himself. "If so, why hold back and be the joke of every room he was ever in? With such power, he could have been hailed as a god"
~~~

Warmonga couldn't help but pause as she watched Ron's actions and focused on the blue outline. 'It's couldn't be Great Blue?' She wondered, then reprimanded herself. 'No, Drakken is the Great Blue! He must be!!'

~~~
By the time Ron finished killing his way through the lair he was 100% sure that Drakken and Warmonga had not been here when he attacked. Sadly, neither had the P.D.V.I.
With that realization, Ron's feeling of frustration and desperation spiked causing a massive sphere of MMP to spread from him. 'Damn it, I have to hurry before Drakken and Warmonga figure out how to use it! But where the hell are they?'
Seeing as staying here was likely the only way to instigate a retaliatory response from Drakken, Ron looked around for a camara drone and found one 400 yards up above him. Jumping and airstepping towards it Ron reached it in 2 seconds.
Grabbing a hold of it, Ron taunted. "Was the Great Blue to afraid to face a challenger that he fled his own base? If so, I demand you relinquish your position to someone more qualified. I'll be waiting!"
~~~

Once he landed Yori approached Ron in stealth through the torrential pressure he was exuding and asked. "Did you find them?" Seeing Ron shake his head, she asked. "What's the plan, Ron-san."

"Well, I just issued a challenge to Drakken in front of the world, with any luck he'll answer." Ron explained.

"It it okay if I leave stealth now?" Yori asked, explaining. "My reserves aren't as great as yours so if I'm not to be discovered I would need a place to hide otherwise."

"One moment." Ron said and took a deep breath and made an energy construct of the Possible livingroom out of blue energy surrounding both of them and giving Yori a place to show herself while keeping her hidden from Drakken.

"Thank you, Ron-san." Yori said and released the technique. Appearing before Ron who she could tell noticed how exhausted she was.

"Are you going to be okay, Yori?" Ron asked with concern though to Yori it sounded slightly detached.

"That I am Ron-san but you seem a bit different thus I must ask, is everything okay?" Yori answered and asked.

Ron quietly pondered her question and this further concerned Yori.

"... to be honest I'm not so sure." Ron finally admitted.
