Chapter 69 - Going to the world of No Game No Life

After Ashborn transferred his power to JinWoo, Shikama Dōji decided to continue his journey. He was moving with terrifying speed between the spaces of different worlds, staring into various universes. He was looking for a suitable world

A world that wasn't filled with overly powerful beings, nor one too weak and without challenge. As he pondered this, one world caught his attention, and without hesitation, he entered it.

As Shikama Dōji was passing through the crystal wall, he sensed a strange, transcendent force that seemed to want to destroy him. Shikama Dōji growled.

He resisted by distorting and reshaping himself with authority. A gray mist surrounded him, and his Outer God status acted as a shield against this unknown force. Neither Shikama Dōji backed down, nor did that mysterious force.

This struggle continued inside the crystal wall until finally, the unknown force withdrew and allowed Shikama Dōji to pass through. When he entered the world, he emerged from the fabric of space and time and landed in a desolate forest. The sky was filled with ash, and the sun was lost behind dark clouds.

This world was anything but ordinary. Even without clairvoyance, Shikama Dōji could sense something was wrong. A strange energy surged through the air—an energy that felt alive and gave Shikama Dōji a sense of vitality.

Even the planet itself was abnormal in a way.

With the experience he had gained from growing stronger and traveling between worlds, synchronizing his clairvoyance with the timelines of other worlds was no longer difficult for Shikama Dōji. It took him only a few minutes to analyze the laws of this world. His crimson eyes glowed, and the past and future paraded before his eyes.

"So this is the world of No Game No Life Zero." After a long time, Shikama Dōji felt excitement. This world was full of strange and research-worthy phenomena. In his view, it was truly fascinating.

Especially the Dragonia species, two-dimensional beings whose bodies served as vessels for their past, present, and future. These beings were like living miracles. Or the Old Deus—abstract concepts that had life, will, and consciousness of their own.

Then there was the Spirit Corridor, the core of this planet—a vast network spread like magical veins through the planet's orbit. This metaphysical path was the origin of everything, the source of creation. The magical energy stored in it even surpassed the power of the Old Deus; a force capable of destroying and recreating a world.

But what fascinated Shikama Dōji the most was the Suniaster—a conceptual device of absolute power that granted its owner infinite strength. In truth, the Suniaster was the planet's core that bestowed magic upon all beings. If someone obtained this core, they would become the true god. Shikama Dōji finally understood that the force that had attacked him in the crystal wall was the Suniaster itself. It seemed to possess a form of awareness.

As a foreigner, it was clear that the Suniaster was rejecting his existence. But Shikama Dōji did not give up. He had a plan in mind to obtain this device and become the One God—omnipotent and omniscient.

A rift tore open before Shikama Dōji, and with a single motion, he entered the Spirit Corridor.

To ensure no one sensed his presence, he hid himself on a conceptual level. As soon as he stepped into the Spirit Corridor, he saw a vortex of infinite energy—a force powerful enough to destroy and create a cosmos. It was as if the Spirit Corridor was a version of the root vortex.

The Suniaster was a conceptual device that granted its wielder the title of the One God and power that surpassed even 13-dimensional beings. If Shikama Dōji merged with it, he would either equal the Supreme God or even surpass him. But there was only one way to obtain it—

When the strongest being on the planet attempted to destroy it, that's when the Suniaster would reveal itself.

The problem was, Shikama Dōji was a foreigner, not a native. To solve this issue, he could give up his Outer God status and be reborn through the Spirit Corridor as an Old Deus. This way, as a native, he could merge with the Suniaster and become the One God.

But there was another issue. Shikama Dōji didn't know if the One God could pass through the crystal wall and travel through the multiverse.

Sure, Tet had traveled through the multidimensional layers of the No Game No Life world, but those journeys didn't go beyond the crystal wall. Moreover, the Outer God status came with many traits Shikama Dōji didn't want to lose.

So, Shikama Dōji decided to split his soul into two parts.

One part would remain in the Spirit Corridor and analyze it. The other part would use the Spirit Corridor to be reborn as an Old Deus. Once that Old Deus part merged with the Suniaster, Shikama Dōji would restore himself.

At that point, he might even surpass the One God. Perhaps he would ascend to a semi-multiversal level and, as an Outer God, reach the level of a demi-pillar.
