"Isn't there any other way to stop you all from leaving?" the Emperor asked, sounding almost hysterical.
He was feeling deeply sad, but he also had to face being left behind by the people he cared about the most.
"Forgive me," said Atherion. "This is for the best. We cannot sacrifice the entire population of Calonia."
The Emperor wanted to argue further, however, recalling the ferocity of the battle between Atherion and Kali, one of the Demon Lord. What about the battle between the seven Demon Lords and Atherion?
Their battle would destroy all of Calonia.
"How will the two of you survive?" the Emperor asked in a half-whisper.
"We'll be fine, Father. Trust us," said Camelia, who suddenly entered the meeting room and immediately approached her father.
The Emperor could only look at his daughter—his adopted daughter—sadly.
"And we will return, Father. We only want to prevent the bloodshed of Calonia's people," Camelia gently reassured him.
