Taking a deep breath, she steadied herself.
'Fine. If I can't hack his phone, I'll hack the maid's.'
Without hesitation, she breached the maid's phone.
The maid, meanwhile, was lazily scrolling through short videos when a message suddenly popped up.
'An important message has been delivered. If you show this to Mr. Nick, you will receive one million dollars.'
The maid scoffed.
"A scam," she muttered and closed it without another glance.
Aurora's eye twitched.
She typed again, fingers flying. Another notification appeared.
'If you refuse, your bank account will be wiped to zero.'
The maid's face drained of color. She shrieked softly and, in a panic, smashed her phone straight onto the floor.
Aurora stared at the screen, speechless.
'Even this kind of thing can happen?'
She inhaled deeply, forcing herself to calm down. Then a thought crossed her mind.
'The assistant.'
Assistants were always useful in these stories.
Without hesitation, she hacked Nick's assistant's phone.
