[Sheriff, please choose speaking order]
[Player 14, your turn to speak.]
As always, Draco was the first to speak—but this time, every eye in the room was fixed on her.
During the first day's debate, Draco's behavior had raised the most suspicion. It was only thanks to Cú Chulainn's "self-destruct" play diverting attention that she'd managed to avoid being voted out.
But now, Ritsuka's death had put her squarely in the crosshairs again. Even Sakatsuki's earlier "werewolf self-stab" theory was starting to look shaky.
After just one round, everyone had started adapting rapidly. The players were getting sharper, instinctively analyzing probabilities:
How could only one person die overnight?
Option 1: The werewolves killed someone, the Dreamcatcher misprotected, and the Witch didn't act.
Option 2: The werewolves chose not to kill, and the Witch used poison.
Option 3: The Dreamcatcher targeted the same player twice, while the werewolves either didn't kill or their kill was saved by the Witch.
Out of these, Option 1 was the most likely.
Werewolves don't typically pass up the chance to kill—it's inefficient and wasteful unless absolutely necessary.
And the odds of a Dreamcatcher successfully targeting a werewolf on Night 1? Practically nil. Night 1 choices are random, and except for Cú Chulainn, no one had made a major mistake. What reason would the Dreamcatcher have to believe they'd found a werewolf so soon?
What they didn't know was that Sakatsuki, being a seasoned veteran, had already confirmed Ritsuka as a werewolf on Day 1. So based on pure logic, he too would default to Option 1, and reason forward to a conclusion:
Ritsuka couldn't be a werewolf.
Who'd try to kill themselves twice, and fail to be saved both times? That's just bad game sense.
So what about Draco, the one who'd openly challenged Ritsuka?
Couldn't she be the real werewolf instead?
Under all these judging gazes, Draco remained perfectly calm, her tone as curt and direct as ever.
"Last night, Player 12—Illya's friend Miyu—is a werewolf."
After dropping this bombshell, she sat down. The little red dragon didn't offer a word of defense.
And, of course, chaos broke loose.
"That's impossible! There's no way Miyu could be a werewolf!"
Predictably, the only person who'd stand up to defend Miyu with such passionate outrage was Illya. She'd stayed quiet the whole game, convinced she wasn't smart enough to follow the logic—but now she rose like a knight defending her princess.
"Miyu would NEVER betray me!"
Ah, what a beautiful and pure (yuri-coded) friendship this is.
Sakatsuki, quietly spectating, wiped away a moved tear. At the same time, he mentally confirmed Illya as a genuine civilian, and noticed how Miyu's ears turned bright red—guilt and conflict swimming in her otherwise calm eyes.
She might fool others with that poker face, but not Sakatsuki.
Especially since he had already confirmed Draco as the real Seer.
Cú Chulainn, Ritsuka Fujimaru, and now Miyu—three werewolves down, two still hiding.
[Player 11 receives a warning. Further disruptions will lead to disqualification and punishment.]
"Ah…" Illya blinked, realizing she'd spoken out of turn. She bowed quickly and sat down, face flushed with embarrassment.
No sooner had she touched her seat than Miyu slid a plate of fruit over to her.
"Here, Illya. Have some fruit."
"Huh? Oh… Thanks, Miyu."
Illya blinked, thinking this was just a thank-you for her support. She picked up the plate—only to see Miyu grab a box of snacks from the table and push it toward her too.
"Illya, dessert."
"…Ah. Okay."
But it didn't stop there. Miyu, looking around nervously, jumped off her chair despite her warning, ran over to Sakatsuki, and silently stretched out her hand.
The young man, understanding her silent request, just chuckled and patted her on the head—handing over a giant bag of treats.
Illya watched in stunned silence as Miyu returned, arms full of snacks, and shoved all the loot into her lap.
"Illya, these are all for you…"
Enough already!!
Illya's mouth twitched. She grabbed her overly sweet friend by the shoulders.
"Miyu, stop it. No, even if you give me that innocent confused look—just… stop!"
Seriously. That's enough.
The quiet observer, Kuro, silently averted her gaze—adamantly refusing to admit that she had, for just a split second, felt a twinge of envy…
Even if Illya couldn't see the guilt all over you, Miyu, the others sure could—those sharp-eyed onlookers don't miss a thing!
"Ahem!" Kuro could only fake a cough to force a shift in attention. "Guess it's my turn. Here's my take…"
Just as Sakatsuki had predicted, after just a single round of Werewolf, everyone had leveled up fast. And Kuro, as usual, was her sly and cunning self. She didn't touch on the Miyu controversy. Instead, she reopened the case against Draco, dragging her actions back under the spotlight.
"Besides, if Big Sis Draco really is the Seer… then how exactly did Ritsuka-senpai die?"
She paused briefly, then parroted the werewolves' prearranged talking points:
"I think the Witch should come forward now. You must have used a potion over the past two nights—whether poison or potion, don't you think it's time to say something? Help us understand the situation better."
Help who understand, exactly?
The werewolves, of course.
Sakatsuki leaned back, a vague smile on his face. It didn't reach his eyes.
And with that, the fourth werewolf was revealed—Kuro. Who would've thought? Illya was surrounded by nothing but werewolves!
But Kuro had slipped up—badly. Sakatsuki noticed it immediately. Others might not catch it, but he wouldn't miss something so blatant.
Why would Kuro be so confident the Witch had used a potion?
Only the werewolves knew that they'd attacked every night. Only the werewolves knew that their target had been saved each time—either by potion or protection.
And only the werewolves would know that Ritsuka hadn't been killed by them—but by the Witch or the Dreamcatcher instead!
"That's the difference between werewolves and civilians," came a low whisper from beside him—Draco, speaking quietly. "Wolves always end up spilling something they shouldn't."
She and Sakatsuki locked eyes for a moment. Nothing needed to be said—they both knew the truth.
In all honesty, Sakatsuki's presence had severely undercut Draco's authority as Seer—but for the civilian team, that was a huge advantage.
Still, Draco was in more danger than Kuro now.
"I agree with the previous speakers," Even Tamamo-no-Mae, who usually remained neutral, finally spoke up.
"To me, Draco has a high chance of being a werewolf. She likely killed the real Seer to take their place, and due to the conflict between the two 'Seers' on Day One, the Dreamcatcher protected the wrong person—leading to our Master's death. As for her accusing Miyu? That could be the wolves sacrificing their own to solidify her identity."
Indeed, werewolves sometimes sacrifice one of their own to make a fake Seer seem credible. One loss for a better disguise? An easy trade.
Miyu's earlier behavior had already raised plenty of eyebrows. Now, Tamamo's reasoning shifted public suspicion back onto Draco.
It was clear: the vote today would come down to Draco or Miyu.
And now, it was Player 7's turn—Artoria Pendragon.
"First, I must apologize for yesterday's recklessness." Her aquamarine eyes were full of sincerity. "While Sir Mordred's attitude played a part, I too was affected by internal doubts about our roles."
Despite the risk of drawing suspicion as a non-standard identity, Artoria openly acknowledged her special nature. Then she continued:
"That said, I choose to believe in Draco's evidence. And no—this is not because of her connection with Sakatsuki."
"My reason is simple—"
The King of Knights sat upright in her chair, like presiding over a Round Table assembly, her voice firm and clear:
"Because I choose to trust… my intuition!"
Her tone was so serious, so Knightly, that everyone had to take a moment to let it sink in.
Intuition? Really?
Was she referring to some kind of legendary Sixth—or Seventh—Sense?
Of course, some in the room began to realize what she truly meant...
