Chapter 285 - 285 DEMONS AS MINIONS

285 DEMONS AS MINIONS

Godmother wasn't just a formidable opponent—she was an army all by herself.

Behind her, dark clouds swirled, twisting into grotesque, ever-shifting shapes. From within the writhing mass, dozens—perhaps hundreds—of demons lurked, their ghastly forms barely restrained by her will.

"What the hell are these fucking clouds?" Leo asked irritatedly.

"They are my little babies… my minions", Dassa laughed and replied to him.

"Minions?"

"Minions, demons, spirits, call it what you may, these are the forces that gather around me, to nourish me and give me strength", Dassa replied.

She lifted a single finger, pointing at Leo. The air shuddered.

At her command, several demon like beings materialized, surging toward him, their bodies clad in jagged black armor, limbs elongated into razor-sharp claws.

Leo's eyes narrowed. He could feel their strength. They were not mere ethereally harmless forms but physically powerful demons.

"These fucking demons…" he muttered. "They're as strong as Lusifar. Maybe …. stronger."

"Lusifar? He's only one of my minions and not the most useful one at that", Lady Dassa replied.

Without hesitation, Leo raised a hand. "Magic Missile."

A barrage of glowing projectiles erupted from his fingertips, streaking through the air like a relentless storm of light. Each missile exploded on impact, forcing the demons back.

"How did you push my minions back?" Dassa cried in shock.

These weren't ordinary spell pellets.

Infused with both Velocity and Explosion magic, they detonated with devastating force, hammering the creatures without pause.

Lady Dassa who was possessed by the Godmother was shocked. "How are you casting magic continuously?"

Spellcasting requires time and focus. Yet Leo's Magic Missiles rained down like an unrelenting machine gun without pause. There was no exhaustion to his magic.

"That's my bloody secret," he said, unfazed.

The truth was, Leo had gained a special function from the System. As long as he had enough lust counters and magic, he could cast his spells instantaneously, bypassing the usual limitations of mages.

But Dassa only sneered. "You may have your way with a few of my children, but you cannot defeat them all."

She thrust her arms outward. The darkness behind her ruptured.

A tide of shadows flooded forth, morphing into monstrous demons of wicked and nightmarish design. Their countless eyes gleamed with hatred. Their combined fury locked onto Leo.

Even with his endless spell barrage, it wasn't enough. There were too many of those demons.

"Fuck, how many damn demons do you have on you?" Leo complained.

"Try to guess?"

Leo refused to be overwhelmed.

With a swift motion, he soared into the air atop his summoned dragon, cleaving through the horde with sheer force. His hands crackled with magic, ready to strike.

The first two demons that reached him found themselves within his grasp.

"Die," Leo commanded.

The creatures convulsed violently. Their armored shells withered, their monstrous flesh shriveling as their very essence was drained away.

Their blood, their magic—all consumed.

"Touch of Consummation."

From outside the cubicle realm, Emperor Ramses was feeling tense. "Be careful, mother. That power is death itself."

Dassa watched in horror as her demons were devoured before her eyes. Those devoured demons were among the strongest demons she possessed, and they were taken by Leo so easily.

"What kind of magic is this? I've never seen it before," she asked.

"This is the magic to fuck you," he replied.

In no time, several more demons were taken by the Touch of Consummation. The relentless assault of the demons slowed to assess this threat from Leo.

"You…" she hissed. "How dare you kill my children?"

Leo hovered above, his gaze smoldering. "And you dare to call them your children while throwing them at me to die?"

Dassa was quick to understand the situation. She knew soon enough that Leo's consummation power required physical touch.

"Damn you," she complained as her expression twisted into fury. "Your bloody touch," She cried and abruptly withdrew the rest of her demons, pulling them out of his physical reach.

Their battle had only just begun.

-----

The emperor watched intently as Dassa and Leo fought to a stalemate. Despite her overwhelming power, her demons couldn't overcome his deadly Touch of Consummation.

"How can one man wield such magic?" Ramses muttered, narrowing his eyes.

His gaze swept across the battlefield. Within moments, he found Leo's weakness.

A cruel smile spread across his lips.

"Surrender now, or we kill these two women," Ramses declared, his voice cutting through the chaos like a blade.

A monstrous, boulder-like demon extended its massive hand, enclosing Petunia in its crushing grip. She gasped, her strength meaningless against the overwhelming force squeezing life from her.

"Pebble man."

"Goodbye, Leo," Petunia murmured, her voice barely above a whisper as she realized her impending demise.

Across the battlefield, Sujira fared no better. A multi-legged insectoid demon had ensnared her, its spear-like limbs poised, ready to pierce through her at any moment.

"Ant Man."

"I love you, master," Sujira choked out, attempting to say her final words.

Leo's eyes widened in horror.

"No…!"

There was no time to think.

If he hesitated any longer, they would both die. His sweaty hands clenched while his heart pounded erratically. His mind screamed against it, but he had no choice.

"Let them go," Leo said, his voice barely above a whisper.

There was only one thing that he could do to save his wives- his death. Slowly, he dropped to the ground, conceding. His surrender was the only hope of saving them.

"Good, very good," Dassa laughed.

At that moment, a blinding light erupted from Godmother's body. A radiant apparition materialized before her—Hera, the war goddess. With impossible speed, Hera surged forward and seized Leo in her massive hands.

For the first time, Leo did not attempt to absorb the magic before him. He dared not risk harming Petunia and Sujira by resisting.

The battlefield fell silent. The demons, sensing victory, paused their slaughter, keeping the women alive. But what about Leo?

"What should we do with him?" Dassa asked, her eyes gleaming.

Ramses thought for a moment before giving a simple nod. She understood immediately. "Kill him."
