At breakfast the next morning, Henry joined Alexander and Ella at the table.
"Good morning, Henry," Ella greeted brightly, smiling up at him. "Happy birthday."
"Thank you, Ella," Henry replied, pulling out a chair and sitting down.
Alexander slid a cup of latte toward him. "Happy birthday, man."
Henry lifted the mug, inhaling the aroma before taking a sip, he raised a brow. "You made this?" he asked.
Alexander nodded. Henry took another sip, then smirked. "Apology accepted."
Ella laughed softly. "You're actually kind of cute, you know."
Alexander shot her an offended look. "No, he isn't." Then he leaned closer to her, lowering his voice. "And for the record, I'm the only one allowed to be cute in your presence."
Ella burst into laughter while Henry snickered staring at his cousin wondering how a person could change that much.
