Chapter 717 - Selling the Vehicles

The man glanced toward the street.

Then—

he turned to the other man standing beside him.

"Hey, open the back entrance."

The second man nodded.

"Got it."

He immediately turned around and headed inside the building.

The first man looked back at the group.

"Alright. Follow me."

He gestured for them to enter.

"Let's take a look at what you've got."

Aldric nodded and began walking.

Draven followed without hesitation.

Kaelira and Pythia trailed behind them, while Ryke brought up the rear.

As they entered the building—

the atmosphere changed.

The noise of the Night Market faded behind them, replaced by the quieter sounds of people talking and moving around inside.

The interior was considerably larger than Ryke had expected.

It was filled with all kinds of things.

Several vehicles were parked throughout the spacious hall.

Some looked relatively ordinary.

Others were so heavily modified that Ryke could barely recognize what they had originally been.

There were motorcycles, compact transport vehicles, and several strange machines powered by magic.

Aldric's eyes slowly swept across the room.

*Damn.*

*They really do deal in all kinds of stuff.*

The man walked ahead of them.

"Bring it out here."

He turned toward Ryke.

"Let's see what you're selling."

Ryke glanced at Draven.

Then—

he looked at Aldric.

Aldric simply stared back at him.

"What?"

Ryke's mouth twitched.

*This bastard really expects me to do everything.*

Aldric glanced toward Draven.

"Yeah."

Draven was already moving.

He reached into his ring.

Mana flickered around his hand.

A moment later—

the vehicle appeared in front of them.

**THUD!**

The machine settled onto the floor.

The man's eyes widened.

He slowly walked around it.

His expression became more interested with every step.

He crouched slightly, inspecting the body and its modifications.

"Hmm..."

He ran a hand along one side.

"This is a good one."

His eyes moved over the vehicle.

"Dark Hawk T-26."

Ryke immediately nodded.

"Yeah."

The man continued inspecting it.

"These aren't exactly cheap."

Ryke's expression became slightly more confident.

"Exactly."

He stepped closer.

"I didn't just grab this thing at random."

He gestured toward the motor.

"I had its value in mind."

Aldric glanced at him.

"I don't care."

He shrugged.

"They're all motors."

Ryke's eye twitched.

"That's not the point."

He pointed toward the vehicle.

"The Dark Hawk T-26 is worth quite a bit."

Aldric stared at him.

"Then make sure you give me a good price."

Ryke sighed.

"That's what I'm trying to do."

He looked back at the man.

"So?"

The man straightened.

"It's definitely worth something."

Ryke nodded.

"I knew it."

He folded his arms.

"I wouldn't have brought it here otherwise."

Ryke turned toward Kaelira.

Kaelira, who had been staring at the vehicle with interest, suddenly looked toward Ryke.

"Hmm..."

"What?"

Ryke blinked.

"Are you selling yours too?"

Kaelira tilted her head.

"Mine?"

He looked at her.

"I mean your motor?"

Kaelira nodded.

"Hmm."

She glanced toward Draven.

"Sure."

Draven was already reaching into his ring again.

Mana flickered around his hand.

Another vehicle appeared.

**THUD!**

Ryke stared.

"A Pegasus Zoom X."

He immediately walked toward it.

A smile appeared on his lips.

"This one's a good one too."

He looked at Kaelira.

"You'll really want to sell this one?"

Ryke stared at her.

Then—

he looked at the two vehicles.

*He must understand how much these things are worth.*

The man stood between the two motors.

His expression had completely changed.

He slowly looked from the Dark Hawk T-26 to the Pegasus Zoom X.

"...You're selling both?"

Ryke nodded.

"Yeah. That's the plan, as long as the offer is good."

The man remained silent.

His eyes moved over the two vehicles again.

For the first time since they entered—

he looked genuinely surprised.

"Where the hell did you get these?"

Ryke's expression immediately changed.

He stared at the man.

"What kind of question is that?"

The man blinked.

Ryke folded his arms.

"I don't think that's something you should be asking."

He gestured toward the two vehicles.

"Isn't that bad for business?"

The man's expression remained confused.

Ryke continued.

"You should know that if you're running a business in a place like this."

The room suddenly became quiet.

Everyone stared at Ryke.

Even Kaelira and Pythia looked at him with slight surprise.

Draven simply stared.

*He actually knows what he's doing.*

His gaze shifted toward the vehicles.

*No questions asked.*

*That's the whole point of a place like this.*

Pythia smiled faintly.

Kaelira looked at Ryke.

"Huh."

Ryke glanced toward her.

"What?"

She smiled.

"This is the first time I've seen you make that face."

Ryke frowned.

"What face?"

"The one where you actually look like you know what you're doing."

Ryke sighed.

"Yeah."

He looked back toward the merchant.

"That's what I'm trying to get across."

Aldric suddenly stepped forward.

His crimson eyes narrowed.

"Hey."

The merchant looked toward him.

Aldric glared at him.

"Are you going to buy them or not?"

The man's expression stiffened slightly.

Aldric's voice became colder.

"It's best if we make this quick."

The merchant stared at him for a moment.

Then—

he raised both hands slightly.

"Yeah, sure."

He glanced back at the two vehicles.

"We'll buy them."

Ryke nodded.

"Good."

The merchant looked toward the Dark Hawk T-26.

"Let me inspect them properly first."

Ryke stepped aside.

"Go ahead."

The man crouched beside the first vehicle again.

His expression had returned to that of a professional.

He carefully examined the engine, body, wheels, and magical modifications.

Then—

he moved toward the Pegasus Zoom X.

He inspected that one just as carefully.

Ryke watched him closely.

*Now let's see how much he's actually willing to pay."
