Chapter 2 - Chapter 2:The Calamity Overlord

In an unknown destination, everything surrounding it was nothing but darkness. Everything was empty. A pure nightmare. A void ready to devour anything whole. It was as if everything has been sucked in the entire space. There was nothing dwelling in it. It was devoid of life. Bizarre is an understatement, the space was oozing out an otherworldly energy, an aura of death was lingering in the space calm yet a maddening threat like a torrential bloodlust ready to destroy anything in his path even the whole world itself is merely a tip of it in fact the entire universe.

The space tore open, and then a figure came out of it. The figure was none other than Arion.

"Where am I? Is this heaven? Where is this place?"

Before he could process where he was. The gravity in the space increased a thousand fold! He stood rooted in place. His breath stood still. Every inch of hair in his body stood on end. The surrounding no the whole space is like it is ready to devour him. More like when a stray animal enter a dangerous territory and is ready to be devoured by a menacing creature, a predator ready to pounce on his very being. His movement was calculated though every instinct in his body was screaming to make a run for it but he no better than to make a mistake that could cost his life. For the very first time Arion didn't felt fear but death!

Then, a voice reverberated the whole space. The weight of those words carried not only terrifying power but an immense pressure. Arion began to cough blood.

'What power! Just from speech alone.'

'Interesting. A mortal?' The entity said

Suddenly, an incandescent light was illuminating the whole surrounding. A ball of light descended, the brightness abate. Finally, Arion was able to see who it was. It was chaos. A being with an unfathomable aura of death surrounding him. An insurmountable being he can't overcome. His figure commanding reverence and authority. It was as if the whole world was bowing to his very existence. The pressure around him was immense beyond anything Arion has ever faced.

Like an endless abyss that didn't even have a stopping point. It was magnificent and terrifying. It was unparalleled.

There was this feeling like a hunch Arion just could not dismiss it but this being is more powerful than the Celestial God

Arion was astonished

"His power should be a little stronger than the Celestial God no maybe far stronger"

The being before Arion is like a divine being looking at his creatures. His appearance is divine! His blonde hair matched his godly appearance. His pale skin was completely flawless and extremely captivating. His white robe matched his godly appearance he was like a saint. However, the mystery lies in the piece of cloth tied around his eyes. His gaze an unwavering testament to his divine malevolence. It was like it could pierce his very existence. Arion was more like an open book, nothing could escape his keen eyes.

Arion could feel an unparalleled pressure on his shoulder. It was as if his whole body could shatter any moment. Just the gaze of this unknown entity carry much of an immense power enough to defeat him without even wasting his energy defeat was an understatement in fact it could kill him.

He continued to curse himself for not being bless by Mother Luck

"Damnation! Here goes my luck. First the Celestial God and now a Divine being I don't even know about. What could be worst?"

Suddenly, the very pressure descending on him abate. Arion can't help but be curious about this very existence.

"Just who the hell is this guy? The in-depth of his powers are abysmal and insane! What level of training brought him to this level or was it talent

The young man before Arion smiled while he was still in the state of curiosity

"You know I can read your thought"

Arion snapped out from his puzzled state. He gathered all the courage he could muster and finally spoke up furiously.

"Just who the hell are you? Where is this place?"

The mysterious man just looked at him with a hint of curiosity in his demeanor, which troubled Arion. A glimpse of interest could be seen in his face but it was brief. It was now replaced with a mysterious troubled expression.

"Could I be wrong that power it can't be?"

The mysterious being continued

"What is your name, mortal?"

Arion sighed.

"Mortal, that is what I am called now,"

Arion replied with a cold glint in his eyes

The mysterious being couldn't do nothing but laugh

"You sure got gut for a mortal. Do you by any chance know who I am?"

Arion was puzzled when he heard that. That has been the question that he has been trying to find answer to but couldn't decipher to no avail. But he plateaued that this entity might be a god whether the Supremes.

"Am afraid you don't human. You see am barely using a small fraction of my power. You must know that facing me means courting with death"

He continued

"I am a Monarch but for those who fear and worship me I am Levi the Calamity Overlord. I think you understand now, don't you?"

Arion's jaw dropped. The words were so shocking to the core.

"Monarch!. I thought they were myth."

One impossible feat that a human can't achieve is to become a monarch. Monarchs are regarded as God of gods. There were different monarchs, just like Shadow Monarch. Their powers were almost astronomical. Some say their power were infinite due to the inability to sense their powers. Their powers were endless.

It not as if they are really that invincible, but they possess power beyond any human comprehension even beyond the Celestial God. They were once known as the Guardians of the Mortal, but they didn't anymore due to an incident a long time ago. They cut their ties with mortals, and that was when the emergence of the system and Mana came in.

But there were still circumstances about some people who said to have possess this Monarch powers they were called the Legacies. Arion didn't quite believe in the rumors, but it seems the truth has shown for itself. Their power were devastating. It was because they were chosen by Monarchs. But it is not all Monarch that do such. That's why it is rare.

Leaving his dumbstruck expression, the expression swirling within Arion was nothing but disdain and hate

"You came here to lecture me about how powerful you are, but have you ever considered one thing?"

King was astonished by his words, but it didn't show in his facial expression. He was indifferent.

"And that is?"

Arion continued. When his eyes met in an angry grimace

"How you made us die! Don't you feel remorseful? You didn't even help. And here you dare to lecture me about who you are! Is that how you see us in your eyes? Insect just like the Celestial God. And here I think the Celestial God is vicious. But you are nothing but evil, notorious, and vicious. All you did was watch us die. You didn't even care to help us when we needed you the most. You guys are the real devil here, not the wing bastards."

King sighed

"Mortals, you won't ever understand. Maybe one day you will know the truth"

Arion became furious even more

"What truth is there to know? My friends, my sister, and everyone that I believed died because of you devils. You may be a King to the Monarchs, but to me, you are nothing but a devil!

King was just looking expressionless.

There is no hint of sorrow on his face nor remorse. This even made Arion furious even more.

"I may be a devil to you, but I simply don't care. So far, it is for the greater good. I don't care. To be sincere, I simply like it the way you hate me kind of bring out the burning flame within you. You said all of humanity is in chaos, but you use the Time Sphere made by Kronos, so all is well then."

These words were an arrow that dumbstruck Arion

"How could someone be so heartless? Do you enjoy people dying? What Monarch are you?"

King stood motionless. He was like a blank slate upon all the words thrown at him there was no change in his expression. His actions couldn't be read.

"A good one. You humans are just weak, that why you weren't able to stop the wing incarnates invasion. It wasn't because they are strong, that is why they win it is because you are weak. Why don't you admit it? If you truly rely on is them that make you even more of a pest than they are. That is the fact. Just accept it. Maybe if you were strong enough, you would be able to save your sister, friends, and everyone you loved. An excuse is just merely a way to escape from the truth, but the truth is the fact and nothing but the truth, and you can't possibly run away from it. "

Arion was shocked to the core. The boy was shocking. The more was the fact that

King was right. It is because of his weakness, which is why he failed to protect everyone one he loved. He lost everything.

Just then something came over Arion

"I know I am weak. I know am not strong but that is my mistake, my regret and I won't repeat it again this time I shall face it. Maybe then, just then will I be able to stop this from coming again."

King couldn't but be impressed by this mortal determination. He smiled. All he could see was no longer a piece of ctap without a Mana and a system but a fire that had finally awakened.

"It seem like I did belittled you. Take this mortal. Cherish it."

A ball of light descended on Arion's hand when he touched the ball of light. The light dissipate. It was no longer a ball of light but a book. The Heavenly Sword Emperor Classic (???????).

"That is my gift to you mortal,"

Arion was astonished the moves, styles used in the classic were godly and outstanding as he was scrolling to different pages to another. He was intrigued and couldn't wait to practice the techniques

"Woah! No rush mortal. This techniques might look easy but requires a deep understanding of the mind, body, and soul. It takes a lot of time to learn it all. I wasn't even able to finish the final technique. It was far too complex."

Arion was bewildered a divine being like the Monarch standing tall in front of him now. A once in a time millennia genius who has reach the peak of insurmountable power that even the gods couldn't help but be wary of. This figure couldn't master the final technique. How could he a mortal compare? Just how powerful is this

"Are you sure you want me to take it? It is too precious."

King could do nothing but smile

"You wanted to prove me right, don't you? Then do it and prove to me wrong that you are not weak and defeat those Kyute asses. Then I will know how capable you really are. "

Arion was puzzled. It seems like you can't judge a book by his cover. King might look cold on the outside, but the inside he is the latter. His cold demeanor surrounding him is now replaced with one that could put one

mind at ease and comfort.

"Did you bring me here to give me this?"

Levi answered

"Actually, no I didn't have that in mind. But do you actually think that it was me that brought you here".

Levi asked in curiosity

Arion became puzzled

"What did you mean? If it weren't you who did."

King made a smile

"Just joking. It seems like there us not enough time. The time sphere is almost done doing his task. See you later then human."

Arion replied

"See you later also. When I come back, I will be way stronger than ever. I just watch."

Levi smiled

"Till we meet again human"

Just then, a sparkle of light surrounded Arion, and he disappeared on the spot.

Suddenly, the whole space began changing, and then it became nothing other than a palace in void space filled with enormous foundation, glowing runes and other beautiful otherworldly designs. Within the palace is a throne. Which was eloquently decorated crafted with strange runes. It was as if it was especially made for a divine being.

Levi sat on his godly made chair crafted for his very being emitting a domineering presence. His malevolence commanding demanding worship. His hair color changed to crimson red, but his other features still remain intact.

Then, a voice reverberated the surrounding

"How come you look so troubled? No one in this world could do that. "

Levi continued

"I don't know myself. But this mortal, he even linked me into my domain, yet his body was still remaining intact. Though his body was almost crushed, he should have turned to paste immediately he entered. I found him intriguing. "

The voice sounded again

"But who could have been the one who linked him to your domain? No being could do that. Even among the Monarchs they will be cautious enough to do that. Such an entity could possess immense power. Could it be the mortal?"

Levi closed his eyes and replied

"There is more to that mortal that it seems. Linking is one thing to be able to survive even the portion of the pressure of my domain is a miraculous feat. The most shocking part he doesn't have Mana or System! I was sensing an energy from him that was shocking even for me. Don't let me lie to you it wasn't that of a threat but was making me wary. I think he could be the one who linked to my domain? I don't even think he knows what he did? But this mortal has captured my interest I can't wait to see what he will become?

The voice replied again

"But should you have given him that. It is too precious, even for you."

Levi replied

"Calm down, Liya. I just think he deserves it. Just wait and watch. I believe he will be able to reach the final technique."

The voice scoffed

"That trash. Stop kidding, Levi."

That has always been Liya character she hate those who are weak especially those of poor bloodline but Levi knows what lies beneath Arion. A spark within him no one but him could notice.

Levi chuckled. He could only mumble to himself

"Just watch, but that kid reminds me of that man. Finally something interesting indeed. That aura there is no mistake that is not Mana. Let wait and see will you survive or succumb to same fate as him"
