Kael watched her for a moment, the smile still on his lips, but now with a more intense spark in his eyes. He slid his hand down her arm to her wrist, gently pinning it against the sheet. Sylphie didn't resist; she only arched her eyebrows, a slight challenge in her expression.
"You seem confident," he murmured, as his other hand slowly unbuttoned the first of the small ties on her dress.
"I have my reasons," she replied, her voice a little hoarse.
He leaned down and kissed the base of her neck, feeling her pulse quicken beneath his fingers. His lips trailed down her collarbone, slowly, while his fingers worked on the next tie. The fabric began to give way, revealing the curve of her breast. Kael paused, observing her for a moment before kissing the point where her skin met the fabric.
Sylphie sighed, her free fingers burying themselves in his hair.
