He pulled a glowing explosive talisman from his inventory and shoved it into the beast's body.

He kicked off its chest and vaulted backward through the air.
The talisman activated.

A huge explosion burst from inside the beast.
Its crystalline scales shattered into thousands of glittering shards.
Flames and lightning spiraled outward.
Chaotic mana flooded the cavern and turned it into a storm of light and sound.
The creature shrieked.
Its body cracked apart in mid-air.
Stone fragments and molten energy scattered everywhere.
From within the blaze, the Magus burst out.
