Saevra moved toward Theo with her bow still in one hand. The shock on her face was already gone.
Theo tightened his grip on the rope while the beast thrashed under his knee. If she came close enough to cut the rope or force him to move, the beast would escape.
He shifted his foot and prepared to stop her.
That was when the badger-like beast twisted its head and tried to move away from Saevra. Theo's eyes narrowed for a moment in realization.
Saevra was approaching from its right. A thick root blocked the front, while Theo covered the back.
The only open path was to the left.
'Heh, then you go left'
Theo loosened his weight for a moment.
The beast felt the opening and pushed with all four legs. Its body rolled toward the left, exactly where Theo had allowed it to move.
The loose part of the rope slipped beneath its chest. Theo pulled hard at the right moment.
