What's more, Liyue had only been developing for just over two months—who's to say what greater breakthroughs might emerge in the future?
Zhongli was just about to summon the immortals to join him in sealing Osial, when—
Ningguang once again spoke.
"The trial is not yet over. Osial has neither been suppressed nor killed."
"Lord Rex Lapis, why not continue watching Liyue's methods?"
Zhongli paused mid-step, turning back to Ningguang with a furrowed brow.
"Are you still planning to deploy the nuclear weapon?"
Ningguang shook her head and stowed away the launcher, then handed the nuclear weapon back to Ryen.
"Since the Emperor disapproves of a nuclear detonation, naturally I won't do something that harms others and ourselves alike."
"It's true that the nuclear bomb is the most straightforward method.
If dropped, Osial wouldn't survive even one second.
I believe just the sight of it would be enough to shock all of Teyvat."
"It would also instill an unmatched sense of confidence in Liyue's people."
"But just because we choose not to use it doesn't mean we have no other way to suppress Osial!"
Her confidence surged like a tide.
Seeing Ningguang's spirited demeanor, Zhongli couldn't help but become curious about her next move.
"Are you confident?"
Zhongli asked softly.
Ningguang nodded firmly.
"One hundred percent."
"In that case, let's see your performance."
Zhongli returned to his seat with a smile, saying no more as he turned to the display screen.
The immortals weren't sure what else to say and could only sit down again alongside Zhongli.
Ningguang gently tugged Ryen's hand and whispered,
"Thank you."
Ryen smiled in response, returning to his seat to watch the battle with Klee and Nahida in his arms.
Ningguang pulled herself together and picked up a gemstone to begin transmitting orders.
"Plan Two—commence!"
"Keep the Jade Chamber's bombardment going.
Millelith troops, initiate obsidian containment!"
"Since Osial is invincible in the sea, then we'll trap him on land!"
Below, the Millelith soldiers stood at attention, and the warships ceased their bombardment, leaving only the Jade Chamber above to continue suppressive fire.
Down below, General Dashi raised his arm and shouted,
"Team Ten to Team One!
Scuba gear! Night vision! Prepare for underwater sealing!"
"Everyone else, form a sea-crossing wall!"
In an instant, the entire Millelith force split into two formations.
One group drank their potions and leapt straight into the sea.
The rest began building a perimeter wall using stone blocks, laying them down as stepping platforms, and advancing toward Osial.
Once they got within about 100 meters of Osial, everyone halted.
Any closer, and they'd be endangered by the TNT explosions and Osial's violent thrashing.
"Surround him!"
With a loud command from General Dashi, all Millelith soldiers instantly took out large stacks of obsidian blocks.
Some began circling Osial from the sea surface, surrounding him in all directions.
Others stood on tiptoe, constructing walls on the spot.
Underwater, the Millelith were also sealing Osial's massive body with layers of obsidian.
The people in Liyue Harbor may not have understood exactly what was happening,
but Zhongli and the immortals immediately recognized the tactic.
"What a brilliant method!"
Zhongli gave a rare word of praise, smiling with genuine satisfaction.
To be honest, this was what he truly wanted to see—not some brutish nuclear strike.
"So this is the unique logic of that blocky world? Truly marvelous!"
Mooncarver let out an emotional sigh, his curiosity toward the Minecraft-like world growing even more.
From start to finish, everyone aboard the Jade Chamber seemed to understand what was being done—
except for Beidou and her two companions, who were completely lost.
Too much had happened too fast:
one moment it was some cruel and terrifying "nuclear weapon,"
then Rex Lapis himself had appeared and declared the trial was already passed.
Beidou was beginning to wonder whether she and Ningguang even lived in the same Liyue Harbor anymore.
As for Ayaka and Kazuha, they were still overwhelmed by Liyue's immense strength and heritage.
Their minds were in chaos—they couldn't even think clearly.
Roughly ten minutes passed, and what had once been a wide, turbulent ocean now had a massive, black, cube-shaped fortress sitting squarely in the water.
Underwater, the Millelith had successfully completed the obsidian seal.
Osial was now like a fish trapped in a bucket.
Even with Osial's slow reactions, by this point, he realized something was seriously wrong.
Enduring the suppressive fire from the Jade Chamber above, he slammed himself toward the obsidian walls.
But the impact left him dizzy and reeling.
How could ordinary force break through obsidian?
If Osial had been at his full strength, wielding the full might of a god,
perhaps he could have shattered a few obsidian blocks.
But now...
Just like Beisht, Osial was stunned and disoriented.
Watching the once-feared beast now flailing in vain like a trapped animal, Zhongli let out a sigh of mixed emotions.
"You're only realizing now? It's far too late…"
The obsidian prison had already been completed.
Even Zhongli himself would need some effort to break through it—
let alone Osial, half-dead and depleted.
Ningguang chuckled lightly and waved her hand, signaling the Jade Chamber to gradually cease its bombardment.
"So you claimed that as long as you stood on the sea, you could remain undefeated?"
"Then let's see... if you're submerged in a sea of lava, can you still survive?"
"All Millelith, hear my command!"
"Seal the skies! Pour in molten lava!"
"Fill the obsidian prison—completely!"
