Matilda woke up in the wee hours, she had tried to turn over in her bed, but the neck brace made it impossible for her to do so. After that, she could not fall asleep even if she wanted to. The lady sat on her bed and her eyes were closed, but her fingers were tapping on her thigh in a rhythmic pattern.
She mumbled, 'Leo Cardinal must die.'
It was as if she was praying to the god of death to deliver his wrath at Leo Cardinal. However, what she didn't know was that Leo was the messenger of death himself. He hated her, and had it not been for the fact that he was not yet ready to provide Lily a properly secure environment, he would have killed her right when he broke her jaw.
