Angelo p.o.v
I stood in a forest that could barely be called that anymore around me layed countless mutilated bodies destroyed trees and over flowing creeks.
The moon light showed down on my blood soaked hands and blade illuminating my already bright red eyes.
My hands trembled as the robe that was over me only seemed to enhance the cold air.The mask on the side of my face also glowed a bright purple.
The codex however hovered directly above my ears. And my pistol hung off the side of my waist. It was neither the cold nor the fact I had just killed all those people bothered me.
It was the pain.Across my body I could feel the pain of being sliced in half decapitated and even having my bones shattered and rebuilt over and over again.
But I wasn't just feeling the pain of those people I had killed but the ants I had crushed, the bugs we burned in our rampage and the animals who were slaughtered indiscriminately.
But beyond that pain I could feel the pain of teeth puncturing my neck as if I were a dear that had it's wind pipe shattered by a lions bite.
Wounds I didn't suffer by the hands others or make onto others were constantly being felt by me.But I wasn't just that I could feel the emotion and the vivid pain these animals felt before death.
As if I were them and unfortunately this curse of omniscience spanned this entire small rock. If I remember my mom called it a planet anyway I wasn't used to it.
I could see it all from a woman being decapitated in a back alley, a man being shot by what I now learned was a machine gun.
The pain of a child being burned alive and the emotional pain of the mother who had to watched from the outside being held down by men in suits as fire engulfed the building entrance.
I then found myself sitting on a pile of corpses tears running my eyes but these weren't my tears but the tears of someone else.
This was rare someone with enough spirituality where I was directly pulled to see their perspective I hated these but I had just learned something neat.
A young girl sat smacked down in the blood and guts of her family as several individuals stared her down.
"According to our observation she does not have that demonic power so what do we do."The voice of one of the individuals sent a shiver down the girls spine also sending one down mine as a result.
"No she could be a late bloomer besides no witnesses can be left."You're probably right."
No please someone help! The sound of a gun shot then permeated through my ears drowning out the girl's final cry as I felt something enter my head and destroy my brain.
But I survived the little girl who was around my age she layed dead of the floor blood pouring from her wound.
"But her final cries had given me all I needed."
The girls eye's then reopened as the wound on her head closed her eye's glowing a bright purple.
I stood up using her body as a conduit."What the hell."The man fell flat on the ground as he raised his gun at us and shot another bullet.
But this bullet melted into liquid as soon as it got close."I have gazed at your lives gazed at your souls and I have come to a verdict."
Screams started to ring out as the over sixty people were engulfed by flames the house I was in burning with them.
I walked in this girls body through the fire and stepped out I then grabbed her left arm as I burnt a symbol into it.
As I was about to leave her body but i had realized that while I was in her mind I was free from the pain but I ignored this as she deserved to live.
I was then pulled into the girls mindscape which was an old run down house that looked more like an abandoned shack.
Her eye's stared at me with wonder amazement and fear.I then used my omniscient vision to view myself as I found thar I was in my true form.
"Well at least it's this one and not the other."I thought."Live a good life, don't waste this gift."
The shack in her mind was then destroyed as from its rubble a massive castle was built.I was then pulled from her mindscape finding myself in the barren plane that was my
own mind
In front of me were countless small glasses that allowed me to peer into the minds of all life whether an ant, lion, bear or human. I even knew all their names, their languages and their secrets.
I then turned my head up as I touched the mask on the side of my face and the robe that was still entrenched over my body and the pistol I rarely used
I saw five figures floating in the air and the presence of another lurking above. It was them the freeloaders who paid zero rent and were always treating my life like a game.
I hate all five of them more than anything.I turned my head away as I realized the pain was gone.
Holi must have taken away some of the energy and distributed it to the others I'll think her for that.
But I feeling created into my very soul as I was attracted to one particular screen.I looked over onto it.
And saw a giant figure they looked to be over three hundred meters tall and had on a mask very similar to the one I wore.
They wore a tattered version of the robe I had on and infront of them was a massive book that resembled the codex but it was different.
In his right hand was a golden pocket watch which he gazed at a neutral face on the mask on his face.
I reached towards the glass it was being projected in however it turned it's head gazing directly at me I then noticed it had 11 sliths in it's mask just like me.
But all eleven of his eyes glowed predominantly the one on his forehead. The figure reached out gigantic hand but it seemingly shrunk as it passed through the screen.
But I soon realized this wasn't a hand but it was something I couldn't describe gazing at it was like gazing through a mirror that showed no reflection but secrets and in that moment knowledge filled my brain.
The trickster and the figure made of light hurriedly dashed towards me but I found myself in the real world looking at Malika who looked at me with indifference, her eyes glowing bright gold and purple.
I turned my head as I saw my reflection in a pile of blood my white mask that showed my bright eyes was now completely transparent and had morphed from a blank white mask with only sliths to show my eyes to one with a devious smile.
But I didn't worry about that but I could now see through the mask buti didn't see my own face but a blurry face.
But I could easily make out that it wasn't mine but the face of the figure who had just interacted with me through a soul connection something only I could do not even they.
I felt my grip around holi tightened.I then heard her voice."Angelo you're hurting me."But hearing her cries. I felt nothing as purple energy flew from her body into my own.
As the blurry figure of the man I could see through my mask gradually became clearer as I could see it through my own reflection him gazing at a pocket watch the smile on his mask growing ever so widely.
"Angelo please stop!"I heard holi's cries but I couldn't stop further pain had subsided and this feeling overwhelmed my sense of care.
The codex then started to react as the cloak around me started to flutter.I heard iodine's voice for a faint second.
"Angelo stop."But I was gone. The last thing I saw was malika dashing at me as my thoughts slowed as I found myself back in my mindscape.
I saw that the bastard had finally left his higher realm but that didn't concern me infront of the six of them was the figure I had just saw.
"We were too blind to think that sword came from his desire ofcourse it had something to do with you father."
The figure lifted up his gold pocket watch."Well are you all just going to stand their attack but it is futile."But I was launched out of my spirit realm.
With the mask on my face, the gun on my back waist, the robe on my back, the book in my hand, the pocket watch around my neck and the bright purple metal chain that ran across my body.
I was now ready to finish my completion and reclaim all that was mine .Angelo stop!"Be quiet. My voice loud and commanding silenced the blades annoying cries.
A card then flew from the book infront of my face. The card flew towards my head but I streched out my hand and grabbed it.
"Know your place."I then clashed my blade against Malika's own as she looked me in the eyes and uttered the words.
"How pitiful it is you still remain here clinging onto us when you know what you are."
