Third person POV
After some time, Basilio and Chivo gave their prayerful gestures towards the four deities and left the temple as Haiteku and the other 3 divine beings said goodbye to them. Basilio and Chivo went back to Nuevo Tacloban, with Chivo planning to spend the night there.
The next day, Fritzi returned from Vatrene and Pantano, carrying a small sack in his messenger bag, and went to Basilio's office. "Ah, Fritzi-kun," Basilio said to him upon noticing his presence, "you're back?"
"Hi there, Fritzi," Helena responded to Fritzi politely and nicely.
"Welcome back, kid," Aldert added as well.
"Yes," replied the church soldier, "and I have something that would shock you."
He then grabbed his small sack from his bag and lay on the desk of the leader of Ruslav, before opening it and spilling its contents, which were small, circular, and cylindrical pills in dark red.
Upon seeing that, Basilio and the others in the room were stunned.
"Are these…" Aldert commented, hinting that he had seen them before.
"What are these?" Basilio asked.
"These are Battle Pills," Fritzi responded boldly and briefly, "the Light Rays church uses these shady and dangerous magical pills to transform their soldiers to monsters with no self-control or senses to try to eliminate the Vamzoms."
"Wait, what???" Basilio responded with shock. "Such things existed?"
In his mind, he said, "That reminds me of one manhwa that featured a similar thing…"
"Yes, these were used to our soldiers," Fritzi responded back, "and sometimes, they get deranged until they died as a side effect of these things."
"That was basically and dangerously unethical!" Basilio replied back. "We should ban these here in Ruslav!"
Fritzi had access to them and got some so he could show them to Basilio, who considered it the most unethical thing he had ever seen.
But Aldert came forward and revealed that at rare times when they, the Vamzoms, got their hands on the Battle Pills and tried them out of curiosity, they got stronger by the pills for an unspecified period of time, which can range from 10 minutes to over 2 hours depending on the body of the one who consumed it and how many were consumed.
This was the Battle Pills' unresolved side effect, and no alchemist, not even the Light Rays Church's greatest minds, have ever solved it.
Hearing that, Basilio tries to prove their claims by trying one of the pills, much to the shock of Fritzi and Helena.
"Basilio-kun?!"
"Sir!"
And sure enough, he became stronger and had more power for only 2 minutes.
"Huh…" Basilio commented upon noticing his power getting boosted by that pill.
Helena was taken aback by that side effect and saw that Aldert was right.
Even Fritzi was surprised to hear that and thought of getting the Pills and smuggling them into Ruslav for the Vamzom soldiers to use.
But Basilio, who noticed his murmuring words, decided to recreate them instead, and Fritzi goes with it instead because it is much better than stealing Battle Pills from the church and smuggling them into Ruslav.
"Okay, let's go to Ales Pohl and Levi Sarania," Helena said to her master. "These guys are experts in chemistry and alchemy."
And so, all of them went to the laboratory wing of the castle to do so. There upon being presented of the Battle Pills, Ales Pohl and Levi Sarania, who were Vamzom scientists, examined their exterior looks and chemical composition while considering their master's request.
