Chapter 62 - Chapter 62 - The Wolken Party was Temporarily Exiled to the Electorate of Knox-Merx

Third person POV

"What?" Lenz, now facing the presence of Josiah II and his court alongside his party, who were also on their knees in front of Josiah II's throne. "A five-month exile?"

"Yes," Josiah II solemnly responded, "since all of you, as I had heard from Basilio-san, had reflected on your misdeeds and had a change of heart."

A silence followed after that with a couple of glances.

"At first, ignoring you guys would do good for you," Josiah II continued with some mild annoyance and stress, "but it only made you guys desperate for some attention and angry at the leader of Ruslav just because of what he did for your ex-party member, Chivo Sergia."

"Yes, we're sorry, for real, Your Highness," Lenz replied with an expression of genuine apology and remorsefulness.

"Okay, it's fine, Mr. Wolken, but all of you must serve this punishment of exile to the Electorate of Knox-Merx."

Lenz and his party were stunned at their destination and place of exile for that period of five months, which was way better than permanent exile, forced labor, or execution.

"Yes, we accept it, Your Highness," Angela replied with humble and willing acceptance, prompting her party to nod in agreement.

"Good," Josiah II replied back, "also, we'll arrange your comfortable accommodation with a nice view of the beach, as well as reserved seats in a steam train to and from Paták Furl and let you guys have your weapons to do some training other than basking under the sun, swimming in the waters, gazing, and breathing fresh air."

All of these perks made their exile look like a vacation retreat rather than one with boredom and emptiness of purpose or role in society.

And so, Lenz and his party accepted them, too, and they were sent on that exile by the guards, with their first stop being Cinjutun's East Cinjutun Train Station to take that reserved steam train to Paták Furl, which will leave at 12:50 p.m. But on the bright side, the S-ranked party was happy to have a change of heart more than a punishment they are willing to take to atone for their misdeeds.
