Chapter 348 - Chapter 348: Collapse of the Temple — The Origin Forme!

"AAAARGH!"

At that moment, Palkia—who had been charging energy in secret—suddenly slashed its right arm forward. A Spacial Rend, powerful enough to slice through dimensions with ease, surged toward Dialga and collided with the swirling energy surrounding it.

Though the attack was strong, it failed to stop Dialga's transformation.

From within the crimson storm, Dialga's body flared with golden light. In that instant, its immense power erupted outward, and the entire temple shook violently before collapsing entirely.

The ancient statues crumbled to dust. The temple's towering spire exploded into countless fragments.

In just seconds, the once-regal Sinnoh Ruins had completely transformed into what resembled the Spear Pillar, the original altar between space and time.

And Dialga itself… no longer stood on four limbs.

Its elongated neck had morphed into a hammer-like shape. The spikes along its back had reshaped into fan-like structures. Blade-like protrusions jutted from its forelimbs, and the three silver claws on each foot gleamed with the threat of piercing anything in their path. Its hind legs had become cone-shaped, and a radiant blue object resembling Arceus' ring of creation now hovered at its waist.

This was Origin Forme Dialga—its true, primal appearance!

Even bearing the wounds from earlier, Dialga's aura in this form was more overwhelming than ever.

"AAAAARGH!!"

Palkia let out a furious roar and fired another Spacial Rend.

But Dialga, now like a god surveying mortals from on high, answered with a Roar of Time. The move didn't just cancel out Palkia's attack, it crushed it in a single sigh of time, and then slammed directly into Palkia's body.

BOOM!

Palkia staggered back violently from the impact.

Weakened by the shattered Red Chain, outclassed in sheer power, and at a disadvantage due to its typing, Palkia's condition instantly dropped to critical. It could barely stay upright.

At that moment, a beam of healing light bathed Palkia's body.

Life Dew—its rejuvenating glow rapidly restored Palkia's stamina and strength.

But it wasn't enough.

If Dialga launched even one more attack, Palkia would be down for good.

Sensing the urgency, the remaining Pokémon who still had strength left after the earlier barrage rushed forward again, attacking Dialga from all directions, desperately trying to buy time for Palkia.

Yet just as they moved, a strange glow shimmered around Palkia's body—and all of them suddenly felt their limbs seize up.

They couldn't move.

Time itself had halted.

Above them, Dialga slowly raised its head. A surge of draconic energy blasted into the sky, then shattered into hundreds of Meteor fragments that rained down from above.

Draco Meteor.

The attack's range covered every inch of the battlefield, more than enough to engulf not only Palkia, but Paul and all the others as well.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

Meteor after meteor crashed down. One by one, the Pokémon were overwhelmed, many knocked out instantly by the explosive impacts.

In the midst of the chaos, Torterra—frozen and unable to move, summoned all its remaining strength to erect a glowing barrier around Paul, though it was visibly flickering and close to shattering.

Palkia managed to manifest a spatial barrier using its innate powers, shielding the others as best it could.

But…

CRACK!

SHATTER!

The moment a meteor made contact, the space barrier fractured and collapsed.

Faced with certain destruction, everyone instinctively closed their eyes.

Palkia hunched over to protect Akari and Irida.

Only Paul stood still, unfazed. His expression remained calm as he faced the oncoming apocalypse.

At some point, a red Poké Ball with an intricate design had appeared in his hand.

BOOM!

But the devastation never came.

Instead of pain, the group opened their eyes to find themselves protected—suspended in the air was a humanoid Pokémon with both arms raised, projecting a vast, unbreakable purple shield that blocked every falling meteor.

Mewtwo.

The same Mewtwo that had remained by Paul's side, quietly forging the Origin Ball this entire time.

"You can leave the rest to me."

The voice rang clearly in everyone's mind—calm, powerful, and reassuring.

While it had appeared to be focused solely on crafting the ball earlier, Mewtwo had not been idle.

Thanks to its innate genius and psychic discipline, it had simultaneously maxed out its own stats by using Bulk Up, Calm Mind, Agility, Nasty Plot, and more.

With its power fully amplified, Mewtwo now stood ready to fight Dialga as an equal.

It raised both hands, and two glowing Aura Spheres materialized instantly, hurling toward Dialga.

Before they could strike, Mewtwo vanished in a blur, reappearing overhead at a speed even faster than Teleport. With a swift downward strike, it landed a devastating Brick Break on Dialga's skull.

BANG!

BOOM!

A metallic clang echoed across the ruined temple as the Aura Spheres struck Dialga in rapid succession.

"AAAARGH!!"

For the first time since assuming its Origin Forme, Dialga cried out in pain.

But before it could retaliate, Mewtwo was already gone again—teleporting to a distant vantage point.

It raised its arms once more, launching a storm of Aura Spheres, each infused with enough power to defeat a Champion-level Pokémon in a single hit.

"AGGHHH—!!"

Dialga's eyes narrowed. It warped time around itself, freezing the air.

All of Mewtwo's Aura Spheres halted in mid-air.

Then, with a pulse of temporal force, Dialga detonated them all before they could connect—emerging unscathed behind its veil of time.

But as it looked up, Mewtwo had once again vanished.

In the next moment, Mewtwo reappeared in front of Dialga, slamming a compressed Aura Sphere—condensed to a point of devastating pressure—directly into its chest.

BOOM!

The shockwave sent Dialga skidding back several meters.

Before it could recover, another strike from Mewtwo landed cleanly, forcing it into a deeper state of injury.

"AARGGGHH!!"

The onlookers braced themselves, Dialga looked like it was on the verge of collapse. Even Paul reached for his Poké Ball.

But just then…

A blue light began to glow across Dialga's body.

Its wounds began to vanish.

This was no move, it was Dialga's own time manipulation, forcibly reversing its own timeline to restore its body to peak condition.

This was the true horror of Hisui Dialga—Origin Forme. Its immense power, favorable typing, and enigmatic control over time itself made it even stronger than Palkia.

Paul and Mewtwo both understood: under normal circumstances, they had no chance of winning this battle.

Even with boosted stats, those enhancements weren't permanent. If the uncontrollable Dialga regained its senses and used its own stat-boosting moves, it could instantly reclaim the upper hand.

"The longer this drags out, the more unpredictable it becomes. We need to end this... as soon as possible."

Paul's voice rang in Mewtwo's mind.

Nodding silently, Mewtwo unleashed another barrage of Aura Spheres.

But the moment they neared Dialga, the orbs were once again caught in a time reversal—converted back into raw energy and dissipated.

"AAAAARGH!!"

In an instant, Dialga's body surged with blue light once more. Its wounds vanished entirely.

And with a final earth-shaking roar, rippling with the essence of time itself—it blew away everything around it with a single temporal pulse.
