Noeh asks as he turns to the side, looking out into the vastness of space. You float up next to him and share the view with him as you respond.
" Yes. I do. "
Noeh takes a deep breath before he continues talking to you.
" Then you know that my end was necessary in order to keep you on the path that my father has set for you. "
You think hard on the events that transpired in the cafe.
Would the Valghul have twisted the truth of what happened in my past if I didn't relive those memories and it just told me about them instead?
Noeh reads your thoughts and responds.
" It was a serious possibility… and that wasn't a risk that I was willing to take. The Valghul intended on turning you back into the grief-stricken Abbadon that you once were in the hopes that you might help it achieve its goal, or at the very least, you wouldn't oppose The None any longer. "
You question Noeh as you both continue to admire the beautiful display of stars and nebulae in front of you.
" That doesn't make any sense to me. Why would I help the Valghul? Even if I lost Ariel, that wouldn't really give me a reason to turn against The One. There's also Tom and Mimi too… I couldn't ever see myself turning against them either. "
Noeh then turns to you and looks at you like he wants to tell you something, but he can't. As you look back at him, you can see a resemblance to the way Aatu looked at you when you both spoke to each other before his end as well. Both of them carried the knowledge of the best possible path for you to walk in order for you to save The Holy Omniverse. Aatu died to put you on that path and Noeh died to keep you on it.
After a short moment of silence and contemplation, Noeh decides to elaborate on his knowledge of the path that you've traveled so far.
" The memories that you've been reliving have been the pivotal moments that led to your imprisonment into The Light, and after your imprisonment, my father chose to erase your memory and have you reborn into another life in an effort to save you from grief and turn you back into the person that you were before that grief changed you.
The very first thing that you remember after the erasure is your second life, and then The Light. When my father appeared to you for what you believed to be the first time, you harbored no hatred for him. You didn't even know who he was…
This was because you didn't remember.
Then my father took you to a universe that he had created for you. His plan from the beginning was always to preserve his creation, and you were the perfect ally to utilize for that. But in order for you to save everything in existence, my father had to ensure that the memory of your past wouldn't resurface and turn you into a monster again.
From the beginning, my father had laid out many things that seemed insignificant to you at the moment, but in actuality, they were attempts to see if your past would come back to you. His goal was always to resurface your memory in a healthy manner and utilize the emotions from your past to steer you onto a path of salvation rather than one of destruction.
When you arrived in this universe, my father created my siblings and I to guide you on your path. Immediately after you saw our birth, you were cast down onto Aria… However, when you awoke on Aria, the planet's inhabitants knew about the Gods for thousands of years. Did you not find that strange?
This was because my father appeared to you in a physical form, and simply gazing at any tangible form of my father distorts your placement in the very fabric of spacetime and existence. In your point of view, it felt like you immediately fell onto Aria after witnessing our birth; but when you were in space and you gazed at my father for the last time, you were taken thousands of years into the future.
In the cafe, The Valghul painted my father to be a coward because he doesn't show himself in a physical form, but that is simply untrue. My father doesn't manifest a physical form because of the effect that it has on the perception of lesser beings than him. Just one glance at him will move you through enough time for you to have outlived your grandchildren's grandchildren. Everyone you know and love will be dead and lost to time the instant that you look away.
After my siblings and I were born, my father gave you one question in order to gauge where your memory was at. You had the opportunity to ask him anything regarding your past and why you were in The Light to begin with… but you didn't because you still didn't remember.
Then when my father gave you an answer, he took you to a field of Roses. This was a nod to Ariel's garden, as roses were always the thing that she loved the most. You saw the rose petals float into the sky and you admired the beautiful atmosphere… but you still didn't remember.
Then my father gave you his book, The Holy Omniverse Transcript. This book was to serve as a sword against the unbeings and a lure for the Valghul and Tom to both come to this universe. By the time you broke your gaze with my father, the Valghul and Tom were already here.
Then you fell. You blacked out when you landed on Aria, but it was no coincidence of where you landed and who took care of you when you were unconscious. You landed in a rose garden that belonged to a mother and a child that were of the same age as your wife and daughter. Veronica and Mimi were created as a mirror image to Ariel and Rosie. You bonded with Mimi and you grew to care about them… but you still didn't remember.
The Valghul had possessed Sir Arthur a couple years before you landed on Aria, but this was no coincidence either. My father made Sir Arthur the perfect would-be host for a Valghul to give you a place and opportunity to bond with Mimi after she lost her father and potentially reawaken memories of Rosie. Mimi had lost her father just like your daughter, and I was certain that you'd at least feel something when interacting with Mimi… but you still didn't remember.
Then Nahzgor's Army attacked, as Nahzgor was being used by the Valghul. After the Valghul figured out the whereabouts of my father's book, it used Nahzgor as a pawn in order to stay hidden from Tom. The moment when you returned home with Mimi and saw Veronica suffer a tragic fate much like Ariel, I expected your subconscious to make some sort of connection… but you still didn't remember.
Then you went to Sovarohm. You sat on the Throne of Fate and you saw Tom through the orb when he found you after the fall. Even though you couldn't see much, those glowing blue eyes would've been recognized by your past self in an instant. When my siblings and I saw Tom within the orb, I feigned ignorance about who it was even though it was obvious… but you still didn't remember.
At that moment it was clear that the memory of your past was completely gone. Even after seeing Tom in the flesh for the first time, you didn't remember who he was or who you were. Tom knew this, and he fortunately ended up making the same decision that my father did as well. Tom wanted your memories to resurface in a healthy manner in the hopes that he might be able to help you handle the grief when it slowly returned; and when Tom took you to Havnahm and explained the story of the Black Traps, The None, and your imprisonment… he spared you an ugly truth.
This ugly truth is what the Valghul intended on using to turn you against The One.
This ugly truth is the reason behind why you were put into The Light.
This ugly truth is what everyone has feared resurfacing within your mind.
You have experienced four memories so far. Those memories were of LOVE, LIFE, LOSS, and LEGEND; but there is one final memory that I have for you. "
Noeh then reveals an orb that he was holding behind him and stares at you with a look of solemnity. He continues speaking to you as you both float in space.
" This memory is of LIGHT, and it contains the ugly truth that you have been protected from for all this time. I will show you this memory, but you must remember what I said in the cafe. My father is not perfect and has made his mistakes in the past. Helping you recover from your past wasn't one of them. "
You take a deep breath as you stare nervously at Noeh, then at the orb.
" I'm ready. "
You say to him as he puts the orb between the both of you. Noeh looks up at you and makes his final remarks as if he's already come to terms with his fate.
" When you're finished witnessing this memory, you will awaken from your trance back in the cafe and your power will awaken with it. I will be gone, and the entire destiny of my father's creation will lie in your hands, Abbadon. "
The gravity of what Noeh just told you weighs heavily on you, and you nod your head in acknowledgement. Noeh makes one last request of you before you enter the memory.
" And Abbadon? Tell Mimi that she is destined to become someone great when she's older, and I'm going to miss her dearly. When I had her book in Athanohm, I was blown away when I read what lies ahead of her on her path if you do succeed in saving The Holy Omniverse. What she becomes in the future is nothing short of extraordinary, and it was an honor to have met her at such a young age. "
" Of course, Noeh. I'll tell her. "
You respond with a smile as you think of Mimi. It makes you happy knowing that Mimi has a bright future ahead of her, and you're amazed at how a literal God is saying that he's honored to have met her. Whatever lies ahead on her path… it's contingent on you saving The Holy Omniverse.
You suddenly snap into the final orb and the environment forms around you one last time. The thought of seeing Rosie again makes you happy, but you also can't help but be sad that this might also be the last time you see her as well.
Tom. The One. Aatu. Izael. Faerah. Noeh… they've all put so much effort into making sure that these memories don't turn me back into who I was… and this is the memory that they feared the most. I'm about to finally relive the moment that I was put into The Light.
You close your eyes and prepare yourself mentally for the memory to come.
