The Obliterator wasn't just a warship bristling with weapons—it was armed with entire networks of tactical systems and advanced modules designed to ensure its arsenal could be wielded with absolute precision. Every weapon, from its colossal antimatter cannons to its smallest pulse batteries, could be operated at peak efficiency in any combat scenario, optimized for maximum devastation.
Among these systems was one of its most terrifying features: the Warp Suppression Field. Generated by the Space Suppression Module, it did exactly what its name suggested—it locked down faster-than-light travel across an immense radius.
Once activated, no enemy ship within 600,000 kilometers could escape through hyperspace or any other form of FTL transit. In some cases, the field's reach extended even further, creating an inescapable prison for fleets unlucky enough to cross its path.
With this, the Obliterator could trap entire armadas in its operational zone, cutting off retreat and ensuring total annihilation.
Yet, as Kallus examined the system readouts, he noticed something peculiar. The suppression module's performance parameters were far beyond what he remembered designing—its range, stability, and power output had all been upgraded to levels he had never envisioned.
For a moment, he simply stared at the numbers, caught between awe and disbelief. His instincts screamed the truth he had been circling around since first stepping aboard: this wasn't just the ship he had built in-game.
Someone—or something—had taken his design and elevated it into reality, refining and enhancing it beyond anything he had ever imagined.
Finally, unable to contain the gnawing curiosity swelling inside him, Kallus admitted to himself that he needed to ask. Had the Being who brought the Obliterator into existence also been the one to make these upgrades?
But before Kallus could even voice the question burning in his chest, the Red Empress spoke first.
"The Obliterator is without doubt a masterpiece of warcraft—that much I will confirm," she said, her voice smooth and laced with a subtle awe. "Its weapon systems, tactical frameworks, and the harmony between them are extraordinary.
This is not a vessel cobbled together from high-grade technologies without foresight. No—this ship bears the mark of deliberate design, of someone who thought carefully about synergy, efficiency, and purpose."
Her crimson eyes seemed to gleam brighter as she added, "And the fact that you built the Obliterator yourself, Master—even if only within a game—with such staggering complexity and with so little knowledge of the field in reality… it is nothing short of astonishing."
She paused briefly before her tone shifted, becoming more somber. "Yet remember this: no matter how powerful the Obliterator may be, that power means nothing without someone to wield it. Its strength will only ever be as great as the one commanding it.
That responsibility falls on you, Master. And from how you wield it will be determined how long you stand tall in a future riddled with uncertainty, danger, and storms yet unseen."
Her words carried an ominous weight, and for a moment a chill threaded through Kallus's heart. A hundred grim possibilities rose in his mind, each one a reminder of how perilous the road ahead might be.
But the dread didn't last. His thoughts shifted instead to the words she had spoken before—the part where she said it would depend on him. That truth ignited something inside him. Awe, yes, but also confidence.
He clenched his hands softly, excitement pulsing through his veins. This is something I can do, he thought. With his talents, his vision, and sheer persistence, he could carve a place for himself in this uncertain future. And the Obliteratorwould be the foundation upon which he built it.
The Red Empress had fallen silent for a few seconds, her crimson gaze fixed on him. Those eyes, though he knew they belonged to nothing more than a highly advanced hologram, looked so vividly real they almost made him forget.
Then she spoke again, her tone gentler but still carrying weight. "Your design is remarkable, Master, as are the hopes you've tied to this ship. Even for something that began as a game, the brilliance is undeniable.
The Supreme Being's choice to grant you the Obliterator above all others is no coincidence. This ship reflects your ambition, your vision, your brilliance. That is why He chose it to gift to you."
Her voice softened, almost cryptic at the end. "And there are other reasons as well… reasons He has not revealed."
"But Master Kallus," the Red Empress said, her tone shifting suddenly to one of grave seriousness. It was clear she wanted to redirect his thoughts, to keep him from dwelling too long on the mysteries she had only hinted at.
Still, the way she spoke made it clear even she did not know everything—that there were truths he would have to uncover for himself, perhaps even directly from the Being who had gifted him this ship.
Yet Kallus had no time to linger on that thought, for the Empress continued.
"As I have already told you, you are behind others in a race that has already begun. With only the Obliterator—the one you had originally envisioned—your creation would have quickly become obsolete, unable to keep pace with the demands of the future.
To prevent that… at least until you can find your footing… the Supreme Being made some major upgrades. Upgrades so vast, they are nothing short of transformative. And I believe you've already begun to notice them yourself."
Her words pulled at his thoughts sharply, and he leaned forward in silence.
"These changes," she said firmly, "have altered your ship at the most fundamental level. While it remains the Obliterator, it is no longer the same vessel you once designed in your game. The Being, in His wisdom, reshaped it into something greater—into a masterpiece of technology unlike any other warship of its class. Something entirely unique."
Kallus listened intently. At last, he was hearing the answer to the question that had lingered ever since he first accepted this new reality.
There were differences in his ship. He had noticed them before but left them unspoken. The weapon systems alone had seemed different—stronger, faster, sharper—every parameter magnified beyond anything he remembered.
Enough that he suspected these were not the same systems at all, but something else wearing the same skin.
And that wasn't the only change. The very materials of the ship itself had shifted. In his game, the Obliterator had been forged from pitch-black alloys, materials he had carefully chosen for their resilience and efficiency.
But here? This vessel gleamed in a luminous silver bluish colour. its hull radiating an unfamiliar brilliance. It was a subtle but undeniable sign that this was not the same ship at least the alloys and the system with were not the same.
Kallus quietly appreciated that the Red Empress had been upfront with him—that she had chosen to tell him directly, rather than leaving him to speculate. And now, finally, as she spoke, he leaned closer, determined to catch every word.
For what he wanted to know most of all… was just how much the Being had changed in his ship.
And now, at last, he was beginning to receive his answers. Kallus leaned forward, listening carefully, intent on learning just how much had been changed in his ship.
The Red Empress gestured, and a holographic projection of the Obliterator's hull materialized before him. With a sweep of her hand, the vast ship rotated in the air, gleaming in silver light.
At first glance it looked exactly as he had designed it, yet as his eyes traced the contours, he spotted subtle but undeniable differences—reinforcements woven deep into the hull. Even from a glance he could tell how much stronger this made the structure, how resistant it had become against damage and upgrades of any kind.
"The hull," the Empress continued as he contemplated the projection, "along with every internal and external component of the Obliterator, has been enhanced. Its resistance is far beyond what you envisioned.
And the material itself… is no ordinary alloy. It is forged from a fusion of mystical-class metals, substances rare and coveted across the multiverse for their inherent magical properties and natural enhancements."
She tilted her head slightly, a faint smile curving her lips. "You recognize them, don't you, Master?"
Kallus nodded with certainty. "Of course. Every gamer back on Earth does. These were the materials that made the legendary gear in games—the stuff of myths. Finding them was just as if not more than a mortal becoming immortal.
People dreamed of having them to forge those gear as were those rich were obsessed over achieving immortality … but it was impossible. Just a fantasy."
He paused, brows furrowed. "That's why I'm… perplexed. I know how rare these alloys are supposed to be, but they belonged to fiction, not reality."
The Red Empress smiled wider, her crimson eyes gleaming. "No need to be perplexed, Master. What you once thought of as fiction was only forgotten truth. You may not believe it, but in ancient times, Earth—your Earth, in your previous universe—was home to countless cultivation factions.
Entire civilizations of practitioners once thrived there. But due to certain… catastrophic events, they all fell, and with them much of the Milky Way. The scars of those events linger still, and even now that galaxy has yet to fully recover."
Kallus blinked, tilting his head. For a moment he was completely lost. Wasn't she explaining the Obliterator's upgrades? How had the topic jumped to ancient history?
"What does this have to do with…" he started, but then froze mid-thought. A realization sparked in his mind, and his eyes widened. "Wait—this is… is this like—?"
Before he could finish, the Red Empress cut him off smoothly, her voice carrying an almost playful finality.
"Yes," she said. "The information from those games, those books, those stories you thought were mere legends… they were real. All of them. Not fiction at all."
"After all," the Red Empress continued, her tone carrying both amusement and certainty, "most of the information used in those games, those novels… it all came from somewhere. From ancient texts, forgotten books, and legends passed down or rediscovered from that lost era.
You cannot create knowledge out of nothing, Master. To imagine something, there must first be a seed of truth. Without it, there can be nothing."
She waved her hand, dismissing the digression and returning to the projection of the Obliterator's hull.
"But back to the main point. Only a handful of places in all existence are capable of producing such rare and precious alloys. And because of them, your ship's durability and resilience are now unmatched.
Its hull is virtually impervious to conventional damage, and resistant even to energy weaponry of any known caliber. A fortress of silver steel."
Her smile faded just slightly, replaced with a sharper edge of seriousness. "But… nothing is absolute. There are still forces that can bypass such defenses. What they are, you will have to discover for yourself, Master. Even I cannot tell you that."
I ran my fingers across the console, imagining the almost mythical materials now comprising my ship. The very thought of it filled me with awe.
"But that is not all," Red Empress waved her hand, causing the projection to shift, now displaying the ship's various weapon systems. She continued, "Your weapon systems, originally formidable, have also been reforged using these same alloys.
And it's not just the materials that have been enhanced—every cannon, railgun, and missile launcher has been upgraded in ways that make them far more powerful, efficient, and deadlier than before."
She paused for a moment before adding with a knowing smile, "As for how different they have truly become from their original versions… that is something for you to discover, Master."
"What you once considered the pinnacle of firepower is now but a stepping stone to true might that now stands in front of you."
Her smile deepened as she revealed the next upgrade. "And the ship's power source… Previously, it relied on an antimatter engine. A marvel, yes, but limited.
"The Supreme Being replaced it with a Transcendent Dark Matter Engine—a power source that transcends conventional physics. It generates energy on a nearly limitless scale, ensuring that all systems—no matter how advanced or demanding—operate at peak efficiency."
Red Empress glanced at me; her expression unreadable. "While it is named after Dark Matter, let me assure you, Master, it is far more than just that. Its true nature is something you will have to uncover as you grow."
