A few days passed by since returning with Felix scheduling a meeting with Albus Dumbledore. The two have kept in contact over the years since in all honesty, Felix did view the old man as a friend. It is also thanks to his efforts that after nearly ten years, the Ministry finally approved of his plans of making a floating island.
The funding wasn't even as close to what he wanted, but he did receive a massive discount on materials. While it was just the Ministry being a cheapskate as they still didn't believe he had a plan or way to do it. Felix was tired of arguing with them and took it and decided to create a magical library and college island.
It will just take ten or so years to build it even with magic helping. Then another five or so to arrange buildings on the island. It was by no means a short project, but his dream of building an island in the sky is coming true.
Now, taking a seat in a coffee shop and ordering a couple cups for himself and Albus who should arrive shortly. He sat down and opened up a non magical paper because the front page captured his attention.
"An artifact from a museum was stolen by strange people in robes and sticks?" Felix lightly laughed.
Either it was a group of wizards and witches or bumbling ministry employees. Either way, they didn't clean up very well and now led to a strange heist story. Just as he examined the picture of the stolen artifact, Felix rubbed his chin in thought.
'Isn't this the dagger that is said to have stabbed Julius Caesar?' Felix thought to himself.
He has heard rumors of it but the sword like others was a rumor saying whoever held it will die soon. Throughout history there are stories of such surrounding the blade. After thinking about it for a moment, he shifted his attention away from it. He didn't really hold much interest in such a blade.
"Forgive this old man for being late."
After placing the newspaper down, a short while later Dumbledore in a three piece suit stepped into the shop. It was by far a step up from his usually colorful robes as he took a seat.
"It is but a small issue, you are already over one hundred ten years old." Felix replied.
Taking his seat, Dumbledore glanced at the paper and turned away. Clearly he knew about the incident and probably what had him held up. Ever since Cornelius Fudge became the Minister, he has been pestering the old man about various issues at all times of the day or night.
"So, what do you need this old man to help you with?" Dumbledore asked.
"I wonder if there are three openings at Hogwarts. We have decided to stay here instead of running around the globe for the time being." Felix answered.
"You three are still inseparable even after all this time." Dumbledore lightly laughed. "Besides the Divination Professor, there is an Alchemy Professor open. The rest of the staff is full."
"Can you create a couple courses such as Magic Circles and Magic Shop? It shouldn't be a problem for Angel to teach about Magic Circles. John also isn't a slouch in enchanting and making magic trinkets either." Felix asked.
Felix didn't really know what to call crafting magic items as a class. It can fall under both Alchemy and Charms as well as a bit of Transfiguration. So pulling from the non magical school, instead of wood shop it is called magic shop.
"Shouldn't you be the one teaching Magic Circles? You are the one that popularized and wrote how many books on them now?"
"Forty two? I tend to toss them into my books anymore so any of my books will have a few in them." Felix thought about it.
Naturally his books were in various sizes, some longer than others. It is also thanks to this that many other scholars or curious wizards and witches have begun to research magic circles. He has also received quite a few letters asking questions that were quite easy to answer if they would look at the basic books.
"Alright. So what course do you want to teach?" Dumbledore asked. "Minevra McGonagall isn't looking to retire."
"Divination. I haven't really heard much good about the professor you hired recently." Felix answered slowly. "She might be the descendant of Cassandra Trelawney, but her prophecy ability is spotty at best and her other divination skills are not much better than a novice?"
"Indeed, but no one else has shown much interest in the position." Dumbledore replied. "She has been causing trouble recently though, it's sad but it might be time to let her go."
Naturally, without Voldemort Prophecy and no real big trouble in the magical world. It was just Dumbledore's kindness to allow Sybill Trelawney to teach this long. Now that she has basically isolated herself and caused more headaches than her ability. Even if Dumbledore was generous it wasn't surprising he would bring up terminating her professor position.
"Alright, since we are adding two new courses, I better go make some arrangements. Letters will be sent out in a few days to officially become a professor at Hogwarts. During this time, pick out the teaching books for your classes and submit them so we can get it sent out in time for the students." Dumbledore stood up.
"Sorry to trouble you." Felix shook the man's hand.
"It's fine. I forget how many decades it's been since Hogwarts added so many new courses." Dumbledore waved him off.
Felix nodded as they left the cafe and he soon told both John and Angel they'd been accepted.
