"This place is a war zone."
Angel said as she looked at the scene before her. The entire country seemed fairly chaotic with many of the residents shooting her looks that made her shiver. For some were looks similar to Death Eaters that were captured and printed into the newspaper.
"Iran is embroiled in a war with Iraq. Their revolution a few years ago isn't really helping all with trying to stop what they considered western influence from spreading. So it's a war on all fronts." Felix explained while holding a map.
"I heard America was selling weapons to Iran. Why does America think they need to stick their nose into everything." John grumbled.
Felix's eyes just flickered over to John for a moment wondering why he disliked America. A few years ago he didn't care about America and liked their hero comics. Sure America wasn't perfect, but no country was perfect.
"Request from leaders, stability and interests." Felix answered.
John just shrugged as they dropped the subject as they didn't want to get into the complicated politics of the world. Instead they began to look at the map inside Felix's notebook and a present day map. For the one in the notebook was a map of Persia before it was renamed into Iran in 1935.
"Should we check in with the Ministry of Magic this time?" John asked.
"Probably not a good idea." Angel shook her head. "I heard from my mother that the Ministry here is in turmoil and on the brink of a civil war within and has a potential Dark Lord gathering a force."
"Really?" John blinked at the news.
"Much like many residents that hate other cultures influencing their own, the magical side is facing a similar situation." Felix answered. "I think some of my inventions are involved in their situations. Many of the richer wizards and witches don't like me since with my automation, their business took a hit. Especially as my business began to spread out across the globe."
"Is it really safe for you to come here then?" John began to worry about Felix's safety.
"Why not? They will probably just try to assassinate me." Felix just waved his hand not really caring.
Angel and John just blinked and remembered that Felix is used to such situations. Voldemort who was considered the strongest and most evil Dark Lord tried multiple times and failed. So others trying to assassinate him is nothing new.
"Alright, so what artifact are we looking for?"
"The Dagger of Time." Felix smiled.
"Does this dagger involve time magic or something?" John asked.
"Yes, it uses the sands of time and allows the user to go back in time a few minutes and change it. A few believe that this dagger is the inspiration that led to the Time Turners." Felix began to explain.
"Isn't time magic dangerous?" Angel frowned.
"Yes, in history there was a prince who is the most famous or infamous user of this dagger. His name is lost to time since he was uncomfortable with most saying his name." Felix began. "During his time he fought against Sand Creatures, beings born when sands of time corrupts living beings turning them into hostile and violent creatures. Also, it is recorded he battled and beat Dahaka due to his frequent and changing his own and those close to him fates."
"Does this dangerous artifact still exist?" John asked. "Wouldn't it be better if it was destroyed?"
"Legend has it that after that battle with Dahaka, the Prince gave the dagger to Kaileena the Empress of Time. Then she departed from this world with it so no one else can use it." Felix explained. "However, after a bit of divination and a couple months of searching historic records of that time. I believe that the Prince and a powerful witch who was good at time magic and sealing, sealed the dagger away and spread this legend."
"So where is it?" John asked, a bit interested now.
"Sealed on the Island of Time. That witch actually sealed the entire island and it still holds strong to this day centuries afterwards." Felix grinned. "If not for a lot of different types of divination and a bit of luck, even I wouldn't be able to narrow down an area for the island after four months."
"So you know the island exists, but don't actually know the location." Angel blinked.
"It's a very powerful seal." Felix grumbled. "Truth be told, I am not sure if the island is even in this world."
"Huh?" Both John and Angel blinked.
"I said that the witch who sealed was very good at time magic and sealing. So I think she sealed the island outside of time." Felix said. "Now we need to find the anchor and gateway to get there."
"Here I thought Dumbledore was great." Angel muttered.
"He is no slouch in magic, but history is full of wizards and witches who accomplished incredible feats." Felix answered.
Neither John nor Angel argue on this point.
"Well I got a general idea of where we need to go. So let's go!" Felix smiled.
