"I can't go back, I can never go back." Su Wanxin shook her head in despair. "There's no way to go back."
"Wanwan, do you trust me?"
She nodded hazily, "You're the greatest."
Fu Shihan chuckled softly as he wiped her tears. "Then be good, if you can't, I'll think of something for you."
He held her as they sat on the stairs until she fell asleep in his arms, crying.
In her sleep, her hand tightly clutched the hem of his shirt, as if grasping onto a lifeline for survival.
Fu Shihan looked down at her pitiful, tear-streaked face, kissed the corner of her mouth tenderly, then stood up with her in his arms and walked out.
Mu Suyu was standing on the other side of the corridor, eating a sandwich she bought from the vending machine, when Fu Shihan came by.
"Have you been drinking?" Fu Shihan glanced down at her and asked softly. Seeing Mu Suyu shake her head, he carried Su Wanxin out to the car and placed her in the back seat.
