Logan's POV
Heimdall and Månina escort us to the outskirts of Asgard.
Månina, because she wanted to bid us farewell. Heimdall, because it is his job.
And me— well, I try not to look back. Because I know the moment I turn, the safety of Nattstad will dissolve into something that feels like loss all over again.
The air here is thinner, like that at the top of a mountain, the kind that makes it hard to breathe. Makes your chest feel hollow. I feel the loss of security as a weight I can't shake, a coldness that has little to do with wind. I felt it the moment we left Nattstad and it only deepens now as we stand at the edge of Asgard, where the plains stretch so vast it feels like the whole world tilts forward, urging us into danger.
