"Easton is being irritating. He wants me to take my leave just so we can see his mother," Endron began.
"That is only normal, and what do you mean his mother? Ulia is your wife, Endron, you should not say that as if it is some sort of burden to be married to her," Phillip frowned.
"You said that we are speaking as friends?" Endron asked. Phillip nodded in response.
"The, quite frankly, Phillip, I do not want you to use that tone, or those words. Yes, Ulia, is my wife, but she is also Easton's mother," he replied.
Phillip could hear the unhappiness in his tone. He knew why it was, but he did not want to push for a response.
"I know that it is difficult for a husband and wife to be apart. Ulia sent me a letter yesterday giving me a report of all that is happening in the west. I truly appreciate her dedication and loyalty to the kingdom. Both you and her are the most loyal and dedicated people in the kingdom, and it is an honour to have you both serve under me," Phillip said.
