Phillip and Taryn laid in bed together. There was a grave silence between them.
"My love, it has been so long since I have felt that you loved me," Taryn smiled softly. She rested her head on Phillip's chest.
Phillip was silent, he seemed absentminded. Taryn decided not to think much of it, he always seemed disconnected whenever they were together. She did not care, he got what he wanted, and she got what she wanted as well.
"How long are you going to remain silent?" she asked. "Or are you telling me that you did not enjoy it as much as I did?".
Phillip turned to her, "That is not true… I enjoyed it.".
Taryn faked a smile; his words did not sound genuine at all. She knew what that expression on his face meant. He was thinking about something, or someone else.
"Alright," she smiled.
"Are you sad that your son is married now?".
