The maid sighed as she walked through the halls. She preferred to be out there helping the servants who were on duty in the halls instead of delivering this letter.
At least the servants that waited in the halls had the opportunity to eat some of the leftovers. They even had some time to relax after the celebration. She on the other hand had to remain cleaning the castle. It was annoying.
The maid sighed. She had forgotten who she was supposed to deliver the letter to. She paused and looked left and right and then left again before proceeding to open the letter.
She read the first word she saw. 'To her highness,'. She frowned and closed the letter before someone caught her reading it. That was equivalent to treason. She was simply meant to deliver the letter not read it.
