Chapter 3 - UNNECESSARY DEATH II

"First off, what the heck is going on? I know I died but why am I here, besides my death doesn't seem to be normal, I could swear I had time to cross that short distance with that crazy chick, that truck just seemed to have teleported right to us" I said incredulously as I finally calmed down enough to remember what had happened before I died.

"Sigh.... , I had hoped you wouldn't ask about that"

"You died due to my interference in your world" She said

"Interfere? why would you want me dead?" he said eyeing her suspiciously

"I never desired your death, child. Your passing was a mistake, one born of my interference within your world. That is why you sit before me now," she said, her voice carrying a divine resonance that made the very air hum. "Your life was severed prematurely, and it is my responsibility to correct what has been undone."

I blinked, still struggling to grasp the gravity of her words.

"Usually," she continued, "when a soul dies before its appointed time, it is transferred to a ROB, one whose nature aligns with the karma that soul has accumulated throughout its existence."

"Hold on, what do you mean, matching karma?" I asked, confusion edging my voice.

She stopped and looked at me sternly for a while, like a mother admonishing her annoying child with her gaze

"*gulp* sorry" I said in fear as I slowly began to truly understand where I was and who I was speaking to

"Never interrupt a god, child, realities have been erased for less" She said as I looked down at my feet in fear while whispering apologies

"You are forgiven, but see that it never happens again"

She paused, her tone softening but her presence still heavy with power "Now, to answer your question, while mortals live, they accumulate karma, through their actions, intentions and beliefs, throughout their existence, and this karma either positive or negative, bright or dark, good or evil decide where they spend eternity when they die"

"In some cases, some mortals accumulate no karma throughout their lives, either due to dieing at a very young age or in circumstances beyond choice. Now these mortals are sometimes reborn within their own world, or elsewhere, should a ROB find purpose for them."

"There is another group of mortals, who are killed before their time by forces outside their world's system, usually their souls are thrown out into the void as the system has no place for them"

"They usually drift in the void until they're lucky enough to find a ROB, or are consumed by the void"

Her eyes shimmered like twin galaxies as she looked at me

"And finally their are mortals like yourself, who are killed by omnipotent beings within their systems, it's the job of the beings to decide the fate of those souls either they would be reincarnated or remain in the void as the being who kills them would not be able to receive the karma they accumulated" She said as she looked at him

I frowned "So why am I here, why didn't you just... let me rot in the void"

"You were simply lucky child, I'm not such a being that would not take responsibility for my actions, most beings on my level would not let you fade into the void" She answered

"Then why kill me at all?" I asked, irritation flickering through my fear

Her voice deepened, carrying the echo of thunder wrapped in silk. "I did not kill you, mortal. You simply stood where my hand reached. You interfered in my interference"

I opened my mouth to protest, but her tone sharpened.

"I tire of your questions child, speak your wishes"

Although I couldn't see her face, I have a feeling she wasn't telling me everything, but it doesn't really matter anyways, although she was bound to tell the truth *if that was to be believed * it doesn't mean she would answer my questions if she doesn't want to, besides I was already dead, and arguing with a goddess didn't sound like a bright idea.

"Yeah.... wishes, huh? so I can wish for anything?"

"Yes, child. Anything your soul can conceive"

"Even omnipotence? Omniscience? All that godly stuff?"

She inclined her head slightly. "Yes. But understand this, omnipotence will bind you to the laws of the world you enter. Should another omnipotent being already exist there, you will become its antithesis. You will be locked in eternal conflict, your freedom limited by balance itself."

'Immediate fight for survival the moment I drop in? yeah no'

"Wait what about omniscience?" I asked, a flicker of hope in my voice

"To know all things is to become all things," she replied, her words echoing like a melody in a cathedral. "Your mortal form cannot contain such totality. You would cease to exist as flesh, becoming mind alone—a vessel of knowledge for others to seek, much like the Akashic Record itself"

'So basically, a talking library. Great. What's the point of living if I already know everything anyway?' I said with a little sweat

"Okay I have my wishes now, for my first wish, give me the IQ of the same level of the smartest version of Rick from the show Rick and Morty" he said

'Rick is the kind of guy that uses his brain to crush even gods, atleat this way in whatever world I go to I can survive, cause while there is always someone stronger, there isn't always someone smarter especially when we're dealing with Rick'

She raised a brow, faint amusement in her tone"Very well, prepare yourself child"

She snapped her fingers

Instantly, the space around me erupted in light. All the blue hues that had drifted lazily among other colors surged together, swirling into a vast sphere of living energy. It grew until it filled my entire vision, a massive blue planet, larger than Earth itself.

Before I could speak, a beam of azure light shot from the sphere and pierced my forehead. I screamed as the planet compressed, collapsing into a singular point that flooded my mind.

The pain was unbearable, it was like my skull had become the universe, and every thought burned like a supernova.

Then… nothing.

"Gah! What the heck was that?" I gasped, sitting upright

"That, little one, was your wish made manifest," she said serenely

"My wish..." I whispered.

I could feel it—my mind had expanded beyond measure. It wasn't just a figure of speech; I could feel the shape of my thoughts, vast and intricate, like an entire world inside my head. Within it, I sensed the potential to create, not through imagination alone, but through structured knowledge

'Knowledge yes I need knowledge, information, I may have a high IQ but if the world I go to is some medieval world with little to no books or any advancements to learn from then I will be forced to build things from the ground up by myself, from the little I know, I would have to rebuild civilization, that would take time and errors to accomplish, yes it would be faster than an entire civilization but time non the less' I thought as I noticed as my thought process was way faster than normal as I had all that thought in less than a pico second if time works the same here, to little information to know for sure

"I'm ready for my second wish" I said,my voice steady now.

"Very well child, speak" replied, her tone patient, ancient.

"I wish for knowledge, all the knowledge in existence about everything and anything or ever will exist"

"Oh my, such greed, young one. I cannot grant that wish," she said, amusement dancing in her voice as she laughed

It sounded like the most beautiful painting in all of existence if ever I've heard one, I know it may not make sense but that was the feeling her laugh gave me

"Why not? I thought you said I could wish for anything at all without limits"

"Yes child, but somethings are not mine to bestow, if I did give you the wish you want, you'll be immediately erased from existence that is if you survive"

"Okay maybe give me all the knowledge you can give?" I said with a little fear in my heart with how close I came to being erased

She smiled faintly, the kind of smile that felt like a sunrise"That too will not be a wise choice child, do not bite off more than you can chew as you mortals say, for even only the knowledge of all mortals would overwhelm your mind and drive you to madness, if I were to add the knowledge of planetary gods you would kill yourself, if you survive for some reason and I add the knowledge of universal gods you will cease to exist as your mind will fracture into oblivion, and if I were to add knowledge of me and those of my level, there would be no you but simply a tool to be used like a computer from where anyone can retrieve knowledge" She said calmly

I shuddered. "Right. Got it. No more overloading my brain. Guess this IQ thing's already making me too greedy."

She chuckled softly, a sound like starlight whispering through creation.

"Okay I think I know what to wish for"

"I wish.....
