The cave walls were freezing, but it wasn't something I haven't already experienced as I walk deeper into the cave as I reach into my pocket and pull out a vial containing a version of the alkaline solution that should be able to completely dissolve the red slime because inside contain a small group of unique bacteria that will thrive in acidic condition and multiply like red ice just doesn't like the H2O in the air so it is both the red ice and not they just couldn't have a solid enough sample to work with from the ice red but because of the newly found red slime it was solid enough to be worked with, but now it's time to put into test.
The air became less cold that I managed to notice the deeper I go, before I managed to reach the part of the cave where the mole rat were ambushed I hold the vial in my hand as I looked at the cave before I turn on my headlight that I was given as I scan around my surrounding to make sure I won't be ambushed myself before I look at the destroyed lights on the ground before scanning at the deeper part of the cave where the mole rat didn't go into as I start to walk towards the dark.
The air were getting warmer but thankfully of a lifetime of wearing a high-tech mask that covers my entire face it filters out the red ice so it doesn't reach my lungs and does what it does, I wore a suit that make sure to separate my body to avoid the red liquid to touch my skin. It was strange I have been walking for at least a couple of minutes, and yet I still have not seen any slime, but I still continue to walk towards the deeper part of caves before suddenly.
DRIP
I snap my head back as I heard it, it was a dripping red liquid may be small, but it serves an issue... It's warm in here enough to start melting...

I whisper under my breath as I continue to go deeper down the cave. The air grew warmer making my first suspicion correct even though the outside cave looked normal, but the inside was slowly melting the site only focus on the outside rather than the inside maybe I should inform them to start deploying more liquid nitrogen deeper in the caves after I make it out... But that's for another time and right now I need t-
Before I side step slightly as a powerful shot of red liquid miss right pass me even as much as doing a small dent on the rock enough power to shot through the protective suit and maybe damaging my skin which would be very bad, before I did a small calculation in my head depending on the angle of the shot and the distance the slime was on top of the cave ceiling before and without looking behind I simply throw the vial straight towards the suspected slime and just as I predicted where it would be the slime starts squeezing its self making an almost screaming noise but mix with a styrofoam rubbing together a very annoying sound.
I watch as the slime which I thought on how it forms slowly loses its bonds as the substance created by Sover remove the bond that hold the slime together breaks down like a human standing near a radioactive substance where the cells break down and start to break down as the slime turn into a puddle of red liquid.
I would go back to Sover and report my finding, but I wouldn't be doing my job to come back with just that I need to investigate what or where these slimes came from. So I venture deeper... Before eventually I meet a dead-end of crystal mix with rocks, Before I slowly looked around finding it strange if this was in where would the slime go if it just ends here so I plan it out, I walked back to the red puddle and looked up and sure enough there was a crack and thinking back the Mole Rat was suddenly ambushed not from the entrance but from the cracks.
So if my theory is correct... As I look at the crack and using the crystal I jump towards the cracks and grab the small crack and ripping it down as I tore the stone and the red crystal as it falls down I made a correct judgment the deeper cracks hiding by the cave wall lead to a different path than the open cave as it headed towards left.
And so I make my mouth despite my small body I still hold a lot of surprising power as I rip the cave making a new pathway for me to take following the small cracks as my guide...
2 Hours Later...
I rip and sometime even punching the stones to make a small dent for me to grip and tear apart before eventually I started hearing movements... wet movement, so I tap my finger against the stone, and it does a small echo...
I dig with caution before the rock loosen to reveal an open cave where slimes are moving in sync making my other judgment correct it's a hive mind like Scp meaning something is making them as I look towards the direction where they were going and waited...
25 Minutes Later
The slime number dwindle until it was empty before punching the rocks so which I can fall down my step lands softly on the red liquid as I barely see any crystal or ice meaning this part of the cave was never frozen and instead been waiting until the outside cooled down which was just an assumption but most likely a correct one as I start walking towards where the slimes were going.
Before I start thinking it through, the dead end I saw was strange it wasn't like the crystal were growing on the rocks as what it normally should but instead looked like it was placed... and the rocks were big piece of rocks stacked on top of each other... As if it was placed... making a fake dead end.
Making my first theory have a very strong foundation. Before I notice a group of slime again but this time it seems to be moving differently... It doesn't look like they would be moving any time soon so I just start ripping and punching the cave again...
3 Hours Later
I gain a distance height after ripping and tearing the cave walls slowly to avoid alerting the slimes as I poke a hole though the stone to make a peephole and I found a ton of slimes moving in circle like a group of ants versions of the ant hill. As I notice multiple other massive cave opening making another theory that the slimes can move freely around the caves as long as there are cracks or openings, but there is something strange in the middle of it all.
There was a giant spike of red crystal spike and something seem to be inside it a glowing red light... And I looked up and saw a constant flow of dripping red liquid... seems like I found my answer... The red slime were a hive mind, and it seems like that red glow is the root of it all.
