"She's so small," the words snapped me from staring down at the face of this innocent girl, who had been through what no child should have even if I didn't know the extent of it.
Her fragile form seemed to be swallowed up by the hospital bed, and I couldn't help but feel pity.
I had been through a lot in this life and still going through a lot, but the deep sadness I saw and felt from this girl's eyes was intense.
It was as if her gaze held a weight that was crushing her from within and I wonder what had happened to her.
She looked so small, so skinny, with a lot of scars on her back when I first met her. The memory of those scars, brought goosebumps onto me.
I mean what kind of pain she had endured to be left with such marks. Those could have not been from anything else but abuse.
