Kai's POV
The sound of children's laughter echoed through the halls of KinneyCorp. A group of pack kids, all wide eyes and excited whispers, were on a tour, and Jack was in his element.
He was kneeling down, showing a little boy one of the new interactive holographic displays we'd developed for education. The boy couldn't have been more than six, with messy brown hair and glasses that kept slipping down his nose.
"See, if you touch right here," Jack said, his voice soft and patient in a way I rarely heard in the boardroom, "you can see how the engine works. Cool, right?"
The boy nodded, utterly mesmerized, his small hand hovering over the glowing image. "You built this?" he asked, awe-struck.
"Well, my team did," Jack corrected gently, grinning. "But I sign the paychecks."
